We need a few quick wickets. Hopefully the pitch starts playing funny buggers soon

4/223 at lunch on day 3. Will take some VERY sporting declarations for this to be anything other than a tame draw.

I'd be happy just to pick up 1st innings points to be honest.

Hartley on 1 off 43 balls, Cutting always enjoys batting against SA but if we can snag a couple quick wickets after lunch then it's game on!

Pitch would need to fall to pieces for there to be a result in this game tomorrow i think.

About time they had security walking around making themselves look important. The crowd has been rowdy and uncontrollable the last two and a bit days. Streakers, fights, bins set on fire.....

Ok so if you are Botha what do you do - look to change up the bowlers and hope to break this partnership, or continue to get valuable overs into the like of Zampa knowing this game is going to drift out to a draw?

How is chadd going? He looked like crap in the ryobi. Wonder if he's injured.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Botha is the only bowler who is looking like taking a wicket. Sayers bowling ok without looking damaging.

WONT be a draw.
S.A. are undoubtedly the WORST side in history at setting declarations and getting a favourable result.
What ever target they set, Qld will get the runs comfortably id suggest.

Qld are batting for first innings points. Won't be enough time for us to bat and stuff up a declaration

None of his wickets were legitimate, would of been like watching the Baseball World Series.

We need to start getting our pitches right, not just here, but all over the country. The last two seasons have seen bowler friendly minefields, and the Glenelg pitch is super friendly to the batsmen. Good batting should bring runs, good bowling should bring wickets. At times the pitch should favour the batsmen and at different times of the match the pitch should favour the bowlers. We haven't seen that in Australian pitches for a few years.

Why do people praise groundsmen for producing flat, unresponsive wickets from start to finish. It's probably the easiest thing thing to do. Very rare to see any grass on wickets these days. Pitches should be prepared to give the bowling side a chance at some stage. Captains should want to lose the toss, because they are unsure at what will give them the advantage. People enjoy seeing runs being made, but Id rather enjoy watching a great contest between a batsmen and a bowler, where the pitch can still produce something to keep the batsmen on his toes.

So an edge to first slip for his first wicket wasn't legit??? Like an LBW for his second wicket?? I haven't seen his other two but Turn it up...........
