Was about the 2 lads who signed up with Crows' SANFL side - Wilson and Davis-Neale.

I knew they were looking at 2 players in the gsfl but Wilsons name wasn't one of them mentioned. Good luck too them both - Davis Neale to get rookie listed! Tommy Carroll is also training with the crows ressies.

Brad haskett is apparently out training with Carlton. Targetted due to his vast experience and size and athleticism. Hope he gets a rookie contract, he deserves it. Another gsfl boy doing the league proud
With portlock injured and haskett drafted the team will not be competitive next year but must rebuild!

Care to share the "tuff talk" Little Master? The official Compass FB page has nothing but pre season training and new training shirts for sale.

Any clubs started training yet?? Yank had their first run under new coach Adam Thomson last night.

Any word on recruits for the other clubs? I have heard from a reliable source that Ewer is gone from Victor to play in Cairns of all places. Was gona take the big FF Smith with him but he instead chose to play in country NSW.

Sounds like Encounter, Victor and Yank are going to have a big turnover of players which isn't healthy with the points system these days.

I heard Craig Parry (not the short, plump golfer) to play enough games for McLaren to qualify for finals. Very handy pick up if true

I have heard the same rumour however I heard it was Craig Parry the winner of 23 professional golf tournaments. Standing at 173cm and weighing in at a sturdy 122kg parry has been recruited as a result of his recent golf performance slump and thus a requirement to change professions. He has been recruited to provide a tough body for in and under footy as well as a draw card for crowds

In addition another reason for recruitment was so that McLaren would win the willunga v McLaren annual golf comp/mixer which will be starting on the 4th of January at the willunga memorial golf course

Tickets for the event are $25 and include a glass of complimentary Dowie Doole 2007 shiraz. If you or anyone you know would like to book you can contact barnie Collier through the club facebook or website pages.

Craig parry will more then likely end up at tee tree gully under his gd mate mitch sandery who got the coaching gig there. Paz goes over seas mid season n wont participate in finals action so not sure if the country clubs would dish out big $$$ to a bloke who wont b around at the important end of the year

Mostly correct there TLM. I am led to believe:
Ryan, Boyd, Skrypec, Williams to Kaniva
Hodge, Whatman, Graham to Jervois (yet Whatman was suposedly retiring!)
Ewer - off to a sunnier state maybe
C Simmons to Mypolonga (with T Hooper from EB)
Saunders - hasn't run a game out in years...is someone going to use points and $ on that? (Jervois?)

BTW - not all of these have left Victor of their own accord. We have had a core group of recruits at the club for quite a while who have served the club well but ultimately hasn't really lead to much success and getting 'guns' Williams, Skrypec and Ewer didn't exactly give us the boost we all expected this year.

However, heard a rumor that an ex-coach had a hand in the move of players to Jervois. Bit unsavory if true.
