worst post match interview ever!!! can't remember his name, but a dead set knob...

until then I was keen for the seahawks to win (never won one before), but now I hope Manning goes to town on them. Am a fan of his... champion, one more ring would probably top of one of the great careers!

Yeah I didnt mind it. Crabtree had been talking shit and Sherman just saved the game. They know what he's like, and they would've known he'd react that way. Thats what happens when you interview someone 10 seconds after the game finishes when the just qualified for the Super Bowl.

And I think Erin Andrews actually pooed herself a little bit.

would you prefer what he did or the ol "were taking it one game at a time" etc crap

I loved the passion

after the game on twitter crabtree said shermans claims are all false and asked espn and sportscentre to get out the tape and prove to him how Sherman is the best CB.

I want them to play each other again this week

So he said he's never said anything, then says exactly what Sherman was talking about?? Haha

Sherman may not be the best, but he's pretty close.

Denver v Seattle 34-19 in Denver's favour
Denver have won 12 of the last 15 matches.

The teams have met twice a season from 1978 - 2001
Once only in 1977 & 1982

In 2002 The Seahawks moved to the NFC West with the league re-alignment and the two teams have only met 3 times since then with their last meeting in 2010 with the Broncos winning 31-14 at Mile High Stadium.

The teams have only met once in the playoffs the 1983 wild card with the Seahwaks winning at home 31-7 on the 24/12/1983

Those statistics mean almost nothing when it comes to the Super Bowl.

I wont Denver to win, but not too fussed. I reckon it'll be a close first 3 qtrs, then Denver to blow out the lead in the 4th.

Those statistics mean nothing because they were before Manning landed in Denver.

I would much rather see stats of Manning v the defensive coordinator or key members of the defense and similar the other way around.

I think Denver will win this one fairly easy. This might be the best team Manning's had before and I think he'll be itching to win another ring. The knockers have been howling for a while he doesn't have enough rings. In big games the biggest factors seem to be the best player and the player with the most to prove and to me Denver have both. We've had some brilliant close finishes in Superbowls in recent years but this one will be a celebration for the last 5 minutes IMHO.

I want to put a bet on Wes Welker winning the Super Bowl MVP, but if the Broncos win, surely they'll give it to Manning, no matter how well he plays....

Now now now people only put those stats up as history lesson between the two clubs most people would not know the history between the two teams.

Stats do mean something.

Some teams just cannot beat other teams no matter who is playing. Peyton's first playoff game NY Jets v Indy 41-0 in favour of the JETS. Peyton horrible in that game.

Denver would be nothing without Peyton. Would not be getting too excited about Denver in the next few years when Peyton goes not much depth at QB at the moment. Have seen their Backup couldn't move the ball that well against a woeful and I mean woeful Raider Defence.

MVP does usually go to the deserving player. Much more likely to see a defensive player or even special teams player win a superbowl MVP than a regular season one anyway. Problem is though that if Welker has a great game Manning passed the ball to him amongst others.

Why would a team with a great QB have a strong backup? You spend the money Manning is on you want to put whatever you can into the team on the field, not for some bloke who warming the bench. When Peyton winds up Denver will have a nice stash to spend on a good replacement and a good enough group around him to make moving worthwhile.

i'd be getting excited, they're in a superbowl... What ever happens down the road is irrelevant now.

Yeah but Manning could throw a 5 yard pass, and Welker could dodge 4 blokes and run in a 90 yard TD. Anything could happen. 6 out of the last 7 SB MVPs have gone to the QB. I dont think they're always the best player on the field, they just get more of the focus.
