Got a bonus point in a one dayer which got them over the line.....

Brilliant result. Jake Winter churned out runs - player of the championships. David Grant in team of the carnival as well. Fast bowler, goes ok from what I've seen. David Scholz an excellent coach, good to have him involved.

Tight premiership race. Only 10 points separating 1st and 7th.

85 Northern Jets
80 Woodville
80 Tea Tree Gully
75 Sturt
75 Glenelg
75 Southern Districts
75 Kensington

Northerns, Woodville and Kensington still with the bye to come.

Very tight race indeed TC

Massive win for our lads on Saturday, the outright put us right back in the mix after dropping a few games we would have liked to win.

Fortunately Tim Cronin was not out last week meaning Trav Head got to slash in when we were 8/60 needing 50odd. Travy and Ian Sturmer batted perfectly to get the job done. We then had Adelaide on the ropes again at 9/80odd before a 100+ last wicket stand looked to have saved the outright chance.

Our blokes had a dash at it needing 170 off 23 overs, we looked like we would fall short with 40+ to get off 3 overs and 6 blokes on the fence. The second last over went for 25 meaning we only needed 6 off the last over which we got with 2 balls to spare. Amazing finish

Who at SACA approved the move of the A grade to the 2nd oval?

Absolute joke asking professional cricketers or those trying to become professional to sit under a tree whilst waiting to bat!

As for the result well sometimes you just need to take those 50/50 chances that come your way.....

Cmon Heater, shade is shade isnt it? our blokes didnt mind ;) the distance to the changerooms is the same as the top oval and the grades still have airconditioned facilities for lunch and tea.

If its such an issue, next game im sure we can get a few portable shades out.

Better than playing with the bruddas in the parklands ;)

Nope our bloody Glandore Curator does that one too

I believe its automatic forfeit, but since a result was achieved week 1 its up to SACA to decide. Just another administration cock up to further hamper the committee's efforts this year since the former president resigned.....

Was this a planned tearing up of Pertaringa or did they decide part way through the season that it needed to be done?

I know other clubs have shifted home games to park 25 in the past for a block of the season while their re-laying their pitch squares/outfields. Assume it couldn't be done at the moment as there are probably a hundred park 25 games on with all those carnivals.

TTG got two T20's in two nights?

41 degrees forecast Saturday... some games off?

Juniors would be cancelled you'd think.

Doubt A's and B's would be affected. Just extra drinks.

C's and D's? Women's cricket? Even though these are technically "senior" competitions there are lots of kids playing in them.

Think the opportunity came about early on in the year ($$ and workers) so it was either now or never.

Yeah we played Glenelg last night won by 7 wickets Weaver with 67. Play the U19s tonight at Bulkana

They sent a head up email out last night saying something drastic would have to happen for the games not to be cancelled. Said they will notify clubs early this morning.
