i think he is a massive douche, but i think overall you have to say his tenure has been good for the game. it has been cleaned up a lot with regard to head high contact and concussions etc, two new teams have been introduced which at this very early stage looks to be successful, there was a $1 billion TV deal, and crowds and TV ratings are all up.

where he let himself and the AFL down very very badly was in the handling of the various scandals that have happened, melbourne tanking, adelaide salary cap, essendon drug scandal. all of those seem to have been handled very poorly, and that i think is why it is time for him to go

See my post for reasons. Can't deny that the game as a spectacle got better under Andy D and the two expansion clubs are a massive deal too

Change is good, tinkering bad. Rules committee should only change rules once every 3 years, preseason can be used to trial them.

His biggest achievement might be getting the sanfl and saca to bury the hatchet after 40 years for the good of both sports and the public in the backwards thinking Adelaide.

Unlike essendon.

Dont you guys still hold the record for the biggest salary cap breach in the games history?

Even cheating we couldn't hold on to Greg Williams, David Rhys Jones and Barry Mitchell.

What does that tell you?

Carlton still hold the record by the way.

Essendon have salary cap cheating And drug cheats on their resume.

Cripes. Imagine if he had come down on you blokes as hard as he should have!

It always the boss' fault when something goes wrong, but that's why they get the big bucks, to steer the ship and set the agenda and they'll never win 'coz you never make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time.

The only immediate up side i can see to him standing down is dont have to listen to his terrible Brownlow medal count!

Apart from that I think he has done a pretty amazing job over his 11 years at expanding the game and reaching different target audiences.

Nothing to do with the decision against us, disliked him long before that.
Not a fan of how he manipulates the draft and fixtures to fatten his pay packet. Dont like the disdain he shows towards state leagues and the fact he wont even consider a proper reserves comp. Have felt under his tenure the AFL has lost touch with the average Joe with constant rule changes and fiddling with the game not to mention stuff all genuine supporters getting a GF ticket because all his fat cat mates have their snouts in the trough.
