Glenunga- look the goods from off season recruiting and last years late form
Para Hills- if they keep everyone
CLG- div 6 premiers wiil be up and about.... Success is always a good motivator
Adelaide Lutheran- always a threat
Trinity- one to watch
CBC- will respond in div 5
Elizabeth- they've lost a few but new coach may need a season
Greenacres- 38 year old recruits won't help
North Haven- too many lost to other clubs and retirements
Westminster- they found the step up too hard a few years back!

sadly only minor premiers BI..but that lack of success in the GF has become a motivation this year..

jaykay is way to optimistic selecting CLG to come 2nd..its been 20 years since CLG were in div 5 and we are looking to consolidate..

glenunga are clearly the team to beat..finished 3rd and have recruited heavily..will have plenty of depth for the winter months..
para hills next..beat nearly every team last year when they came home with a rush..stacks of recruits..
elizabeth have lost some but many gained as well, dont know the quality..always hard for visiting teams to win at argana park..
write off westminster at your peril..well coached and will play finals i reckon..
dont know a lot about havens but with a strong B grade they do have depth..do they have a winning formula for A grade?
the rest is a raffle including CLG..it will sort itself out after 9 rounds..looks to be as hard and even as it always is in div 5..

Didn't Gleninga just fall into the 5 last season with a come from behind 1 point win in the last round...finals are generally not a good barometer of things to come.

The last time we came up from 6 to 5 we made a GF and were 15 points up half way through the last only to lose to Ian Perrie. We also won the GF last year so maybe with success being a motivator and our past history we wont finish bottom... ;)

Can be a two edged sword... WOS Dragons makes his point whilst if you take Kilburn who won the 2012 GF, got relegated the following year (with most of the same side playing) and is in all sorts of trouble now. Too many variables season to season to make confident predications.....

Glenunga won't finish top in division 5.

This is because they are going up to division 4 and Brahma Lodge will take their place in division 5. Confirmed just now.

You heard it here first 8)

So where would you stick the Blodge then?

Are they still going to be fielding last years B grade players in the A grade? Could be in Div 6 by the end of the year.

Twice sides have been dropped into our (North Haven) division and twice they have made a GF and we have finished third but i think this time it will be different by the sounds of things.

Well for starters I don't fancy our chances of finishing top 3 but i would hate to finish 9th and them 8th

Being relegated is a moot point. By all reports Glenunga were building a very good side that would have likely finished above ninth anyway. D5 just eliminated a serious contender.

Do you think people at Glenunga might be a bit peeved that they were gearing up for a run at the premiership, and now they're gonna be fighting to make finals in Div 4.
