That's correct. First trial tonight under new coach Wayne Slattery. After a good pre season, we are excited to have our first hit out of the season.

Was a good game. First hit out for both teams so safe to say, a lot of the skills were rusty. But a solid game none the less. The game was played in a good spirit which is you want for trial games

From a Blackfriars point of view, the game was a good hit out for both sides...both clubs played upward of 30 players each which had the coaches throwing the magnets around...Blackfriars looked more settled but Marion has certainly improved...some hard hits from both sides and the skills got better as the game progressed...Blackfriars ran over the top in the last qtr with 6 or 7 goals but it was pretty close at 3 qtr time...expect a marked improvement under Slatts...the club are trying hard in the background.

Think King is referring to the replacement for the retired trainer...

Not correct Vics!
Noarlunga has asked the league to review the points for 2014 as has a number of clubs but no numbers discussed.

Smoke and mirrors Shoe Boy.. I believe the clubs will be told on Wednesday that Noarlunga have 21 points for season 2014.. If this is the case the people who made this decision SHOULD hang their heads in SHAME.

The APPS were not designed to give a club finals appearances on a platter. I have had a crack at MParks in the last couple of years and although not agreeing with everything they got. At least it was for somewhat the right reason NO JUNIORS. Noarlunga are not in this position.

So the Shoes lose a few players this season well suck it up you are not the only club to lose players....Having had strong reserves and juniors you should be ok after blooding a few for a couple of years.

Lets hope on Tuesday night at the SFL board meeting common sense prevails and this decision is reversed for the sake of the integrity of the league.

Come on General show some leadership..

Leagues are allocated a set number of points to then allocate among the clubs in the A grade comp. Not sure if things have change but it originally meant SFL had 225 points to spread across the 15 clubs. Averages out at 15 per club. The leagues have the option to allocate the 225 points how they like across the clubs e.g. top teams having less than bottom teams but must only allocate a total of 225 points across the 15 clubs. Personally I don't see how NFC allocation could be increased without other clubs agreeing to reduced points allocation.

If it is to be announced on Wednesday that Noarlunga have been allocated 21 points, then SFL will have to announce a reduced allocation to one or more clubs. Given clubs have already complered recruiting for this season based on their understanding of APPS allocation it will make for interesting times.

No comment on Noarlunga getting extra points but I think you will find that the SFL only allocated about 180 or 190 of a possible 225 points in 2013 so they do have the scope to dish out extra points without taking them away from another club.

Heard a number of under 18's teams are struggling with numbers even some of the more successful teams from under 18's last year? Is this true?

If MVP can now fill an under 18's side would they be in their rights to bring out the old chessnut of "can't fill all saturday sides., kick 'em out of the comp" to a "successful side" if they didn't field an under 18's for the first year in a ldecade
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

?

Morphettville Park do not field U/14 or U/16 teams. Unless you are counting the Sunday 15-a-side overflow comp?
