There you go. Weightlifting isn't a sport. No skill and not entertaining. We will put it in the hobby/pastime category.

Entertainment is subjective.

Weightlifting most certainly requires skill. It's very technical and precise.

No it's not. Anyone can lift a weight over their head. The attribute of strength determines how much.

Not everyone can kick and catch a footy, because it's a skill. Not everyone can hit and bowl a cricket ball. Then add in all the attributes to be good at it. Strength, endurance, agility, hand/eye coordination and courage and you have a sport.

Not sure I could, but that isn't because I don't have the skill too. Just lacking the strength. I'm sure if I got in the gym, chewed roids and ate powdered goats uterus I'd be able too.

Strength, power and flexibility are all required. You don't specifically train for strength, you train the technique, which requires skill. The lift is broken down into components, of which are trained for separately. Everything from quad strength to hip flexibility.

Yeah, you can lift weight over your head. My wife can kick a footy too. Just because she couldn't kick one over a jam tin doesn't discount Aussie Rules from being a sport.

I'm all for given people a second chance but if you make the same terrible choice again - you should be locked up for life and never released.

How this c@#t was out of jail when he killed is disgusting... you can stick your political correct rehab crap up your arse - this c@#t deserves the death penalty.
