Any looming retirements around the grade scene?

Think Rumbles will be awesome for the group. His success at Bank SA Under 17's over the last 7 years with 5 Premierships show what a great coach he is. Plus with the young list, he has coached about 37 of the Group in that time, so he knows all the players really well.

pr* ck of a bloke on the field and 0 respect for any bowler  will no doubt instill some toughness into the younger blokes! The structure mentioned on the website and the people involved should work well for WT.
Rumblesssss the miracle worker.

Amazing turn around in a fortnight!

Outright win last week, and chance to win outright again against top team!

TTG won the T20 final last night at Bulkana. TTG batted first and finished at 5fa 141 Davey 59, Tim Evans 27, Sommerfield 26, Northerns finished their 20 overs at 9 fa 124 Trent Pascoe 33 and Hanson 29.

3straight T20s to go with the 3straight one dayers - now for a two day flag......

A pretty good crowd both clubs have good support and was a local derby of sorts!

A very good outright win by West Torrens over East Torrens by nine wickets, their second outright in two matches. Great performance by the forgotten man of State cricket, Peter George, with 12 wickets and young Ben Williams with 7.

A few interesting results this round.
Tony Clifton wrote:Technically 9 teams still in the hunt. Might not be that many actually. Haven't really crunched the numbers.

1 East Torrens 107.5 (West Torrens, Prospect) LOST
2 Woodville 102.5 (Glenelg, Tea Tree Gully) +15
3 Tea Tree Gully 102.5 (Port Adelaide, Woodville) LOST
4 Sturt 97.5 (Southern District, West Torrens) LOST
5 Kensington 97.5 (Northern Districts, Glenelg) +15
6 Northern Districts 92.5 (Kensington, Bye) LOST
7 Port Adelaide 87.5 (Tea Tree Gully, Southern District) +15
8 Glenelg 82.5 (Woodville, Kensington) +10
9 Southern District 82.5 (Sturt, Port Adelaide) +15

1. Woodville 117.5
2. Kensington 112.5
3. East Torrens 107.5
4. Tea Tree Gully 102.5
5. Port Adelaide 102.5
6. Sturt 97.5
7. Southern District 97.5
8. Northern Districts 92.5
9. Glenelg 92.5

Door still ajar for a number of teams.

Woodville vs TTG becomes a massive game.

East Torrens you'd expect to rebound against Prospect.

Kensington vs Glenelg... Bays still a sniff if everyone else falls over

Port could come from the clouds!

Sturt vs West Torrens looking a little trickier now than it did a few weeks ago.

You would expect East Torrens to beat Prospect. Woodville already secure in the 4, but likely playing for a home final.

Kensington probably need to beat Glenelg or they miss the 4 given Sturt's superior percentage.

Tea Tree Gully must win or they miss out.

Port in a good position to make the 4 if they beat Southerns.

Plenty of scenarios leading to the last round.

Good to see an exciting end to the Grade season, for those that still care...

Woodville throwing Glenelg a life jacket last weekend by declaring and setting up game.
would love to see East torrens miss the finals most arrogant group of players in the comp by a mile would be a shame to see them go loss-loss out, especially after their B grade have just done the same thing. Go the Pirates.
Kensington will win the whole thing. Northern Districts finishing nowhere as I prediceted earlier in the year.

Looks like Port and Sturt have snuck in, in the place of TTG and ET. Well done to Port, good turnaround from the last few seasons.

I wonder if there will be any silly season outrights? :D Good thing about having a one dayer in the last round is they're not open to manipulation. A draw this round would be a killer blow.

Reckon East Torrens will go win-win and finish top.

The two Woodville games are massive - Glenelg, TTG.

Port could make things very interesting if they knock off TTG this week. Gullies win and you'd think they're safe.

Loser of Northerns and Kensington this round can kiss it goodbye.

Massive game for ET last minor round match.
I'm tipping a Pirate win .

The Pirate boys are stoked.

Close finish to the season!

Kensington defend 82 against Glenelg (71) to finish top. A loss would have seen them finish 5th!
Tea Tree Gully defeat Woodville to make the finals. They will play each other again in the Semi.
Port defeat Southern District to finish 4th.
East Torrens lose against the bottom placed team two weeks in a row to tumble out of the finals.
Sturt just defend 333 (adjusted to 321 under D/L) against West Torrens (315) to finish 5th - would have leapt above Kensington if Glenelg won.

Semi Finals
Kensington vs Port Adelaide
Woodville vs Tea Tree Gully

Another Brilliant East Torrens Choke!!

To recap for those at the back:

2011/12 - West End Cup semi vs West Torrens - ET needed 10 runs off the last 5 overs with 6 wickets in hand and lost by 2 runs.

2012/13 - Grand Final vs Glenelg - ET had the mighty Bays 6/23 and then 7/74 before conceding 238 then being bowled out for 112 to lose by heaps.

2013/14 - ET go from top to 6th and miss finals after losing to the bottom team 2 weeks in a row. Unable to chase 180 against an ordinary Prospect attack despite their top 6 containing 2x international players, 2x FC players and 2x 2nd XI players.

However they carry themselves as the most arrogant, cocky team in the competition led by the keeper and a spoilt school child.

A large diet of humble pie in the off-season I reckon.

There is something off about the fact the two other names mentioned in the story are Daryl Cox and Jamie Cox...

Both of last season's grand finalists missed the four. When did that last happen? Haven't checked, maybe it happens all the time

You would think it would, can't see how Worrell can play for Kensington in finals.

ET would be spewing, top with two rounds to go and playing bottom two teams. Hopefully some of their players pull their heads in next year after losing the GF they had in the bag last year and the disaster finish this year.

Especially the keeper, Eichler, needs to be brought down a peg or two. But cant see him keeping his mouth shut after all these years, funny think Karma!
