Hats off to Freeling, best A1 team in the comp by a bit. Will take some stopping over the next year or two.
Enjoy the frothies tonight lads, these things go in cycles so hopefully another side can step up to the plate and challenge them

They had it wrapped up before I got there at 4.

That makes 11 Freeling premierships in the past 5 years if my counting is correct (including the state T20, so 12 if you count country & city as 2)

Time for all those Mallala boys to come back LoL

Hurry up and put that turf deck in then lol

Rules are rules.
Thats the benefit of having both A and B grade in finals.
Good knock in a GF no matter what grade he plays

Well done to Freeling. Way too good on the weekend, outplayed us in all areas. Been the best team all year and thoroughly deserve it. How about Raed making 3 tons in 3 consecutive GF's!! Unbelievable effort and a great knock to witness even if you are the opposition.

Well done and congratulations to all the premiers in every grade,
To the bloke who said lucky they had Woodards , played A1s most of the year.. Well he did until he couldn't bowl because of a back injury once he couldn't bowl he played 50/50 1's and 2's and played the last round plus semi in the A2s so don't come on here and try to make it sound like we stacked our 2s team, he bats at 8 in our A1s when he plays... Was just a great individual effort, besides if he didn't ton up then in sure days would've ;)

Also Raed Hannum is a JET... That is all , see ya next year lads!!

played a singular A2 game before the finals. not saying its right or wrong, but hardly "50/50" after he got injured, since it was 1 week in the A2s, and then 3 more weeks in the A1s before finals

definitely well batted by him though.

Mate , did you go and research this, probably need to get out more but to clear it up , missed first 3 games after Xmas due to injury / away.. Come back played the last of the one day games in the A1's which was 2 games was picked in the 2's game the week we got heat policy (2 day game) and then played the last game of the year in the 2's ... My calculations is 2 games in each grade so 50/50.. But if you don't want to use the game that was cancelled due to heat then we can use the semi final which both A1 and A2s were in and we picked our best teams for that week and he was in the 2s so this would make 50-50...

Yeah well Ty Stock played for us so I hardly think Woodards playing is that big of a deal. It probably doesnt help that he got dropped 3 times before he made it to 50 though...

i just checked his games played on mycricket.

as i said, i have no issues with him playing, as you said, if both the 1s and 2s play finals he can play wherever he wants. just that the only A2 game he is listed as playing is indeed that catchup game (i snicked him up :D)

apologise if i implied something shifty was going on, wasnt my intention. well done to you guys.

was an interesting season in the A2s, quite inconsistent really. pretty much every team besides maybe south gawler could beat any other team (and even they beat sandy in R1), and it seemed that some teams had the wood on others.

for instance we had the wood on you guys during the year, but couldnt beat centrals, and you guys were the exact opposite, though i thought based on form during the season sandy would beat you guys easily, then you come out and roll them for 40 in the semi finals.

was a really well fought season. disappointing from freeling's point of view, we lost 5 games by less than 30 runs batting second, and one game by 38 runs. a few less wides with the ball, and a few more runs, and we are probably sitting second or third on the ladder. we also unfortunately missed out on the game against south which was rained out, which probably would have meant we played finals, but that is just an excuse as we still had a chance to beat tanunda in the last game but didnt.

for our first season in the A2s though, it was a decent effort. looking forward to next year.
