Not as good as the Cats in the end but is rather get run over in the end against a good side than get smacked when the whips are cracking.

A few more goals than points both sides of 3/4 time changes some things but the outcome is what it is.

Geelong are quality and you have no idea if you think anything less.

Don't the whips normally crack at the end of the race. ;)

The crows looked good i thought, fumbled the ball a bit and looked a little nevous, but the signs are good. Get Ritchie, otten, tex and tommy lynch back in and the side and they'll look a little more settled, the crows could push finals this year, the draw helps too. Geelong were quality once again, i had them not in my 8 this year, thought by letting all that experience go would hurt them, but once again they proved me wrong, they were superb.

crows against port should be a cracker, i have the crows just ahead on form, i know that seems strange seeing the results from round 1, but geelong and carlton are miles apart in quality, and the crows pre season form can't be under estimated either. eddie betts to be the factor, but there must be something with port showdowns and the name chad, and the latest one in wingard must held for the crows to get on top

Or maybe both teams aren't as good as you think?

well if you want to think like that, then anyone other than hawthorn are rubbish really, without buddy they will be better and sydney will be worse for picking him up, they have lost that working class touch they had when roosy and horse built there 05 and 2012 premiership team when they recruited tippet and buddy for big dollars, surely internally, guys like goodes, mcveigh, o'keefe etc will be fuming at that actions of there club

Geelong winning at home against an interstate side I don't rate isn't much to get excited about.

Hawthorn AND Freo are a step above everyone else.

Trying to remember how many premierships Buddy played in at Hawthorn. Certainly held Hawthorn back.

Yep a 6 goal loss to a team that wont make the 8 is something to crow about. Pretty sure despite losing the battle of the bridge the Swans will take some beating for us to go back to back

Derby streak had to end. Could have been worse. Could have lost first up like the Crows and Brisbane.

You were praising them early during the game, not so much after half time. :D

Crows won't make the 8. Very likely to be 0-3.

Means they'll need to win 12 of last 19. Won't happen!!

Port will flog them this week!!!

Losing to Geelong by 6 goals at the cattery no big deal. Getting out run in the last quarter by Geelong should be the massive concern.

gonna be a good game this week i think. carlton are pretty average, and port were struggling for a long time before they finally kicked away. almost the reverse of the crows game.

definitely a massive game for the crows though, really need to win this week.

Carlton will finish higher than Adelaide this season IMO.

If you look at every game in the first rd every team looked pretty average in the first half.

Crows fitness is a big worry. Port will make them run hard for 4qtrs question is can the crows keep up.

Match fitness is a little different though... You won't see teams out on their legs come round 7 onwards like you did in the first round... They may be fit yes, but they haven't had to tackle or get tackled or shepherd or have that constant body contact while still running to the elite level expected...
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

my point was, just because you get ran over in the last, doesnt automatically mean you werent fit enough. to me it seemed we were probably the fitter of the two clubs on the night tbh, or at least there wasnt much difference, we ran out each of the first 3 quarters much stronger, but just in the last they got a runon.
