they just finished pre season they won't get much fitter then now. Except for the few that have had a interrupted pre season due to injury

my point was, just because you get ran over in the last, doesnt automatically mean you werent fit enough. to me it seemed we were probably the fitter of the two clubs on the night tbh, or at least there wasnt much difference, we ran out each of the first 3 quarters much stronger, but just in the last they got a runon.

You are both wrong.

There aren't enough gifs in the world to express how hilarious that is.

It's the airport all over again.

i for one would love to see this kind of thing introduced here...

look at the EPL and listen to their crowds chanting. It sounds amazing when they all start with the same chant. do you reckon they just wing it or have organised 'practice' sessions to nut out new chants?!?

a bit of tall poppy syndrome creeping in here methinks...

No, English soccer fans don't rehearse. That's tradition, not manufactured support. Someone in marketing at the Crows needs to concentrate on selling merchandise. It's cringe worthy at best.

Did you not listen to what they were wailing? I'm guessing a few Crow supporters will be telling them to stfu.

no i didnt listen to what they were chanting, i could imagine though...

at least they are trying something outside the box to get behind their side. if it fails then so be it, but you watch if it takes off every club will get on it too!

RE the lyrics - i'm sure if it does take off then some lyrical genius will come up with witty lines and catchy tunes, until then it is what it is

The EPL fans create new songs all the time depending on how their team is going. Yes it's tradition for the fans to sing during games, but they do create new stuff that needs to be taught (rehearsed) to the fans at some point.

I agree it is cringe worthy, but I also like that someone at the club is thinking outside the box like NG posted. At least they're having a go at something new.

Lol chant rehearsals.

Get to the ground, drink a shite load of beer and start belting out the classics

If the bloke next to u starts singing something witty or funny join in with him and soon everyone else will

It's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of and typical of the Crows club and supporters FFS English soccer fans and even Centrals fans didn't need a Cheersquad or even a brain cell between us all to work it out!!

That, my good sir, is how all the elite cheer squads worldwide do it. Look at the Barmy Army; sure they may be a bunch of Poms, but they're bloody good at what they do.

TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.

Why is the chanting such an issue for people? I don't think it'll go that well but it's less controversial than the State guernsey debacle and who knows, it might become a good thing.

At the moment the chants in the AFL are "(insert team name), clap, clap, clap" or "Cooolllllliinnnggggwooooooooooood". Granted, a lot more happens in AFL games than EPL ones and the chants in soccer are to help stop the crowd dying of boredom at times - unless you're playing against Arsenal atm - but people seem to be focusing on this chanting more than they should. Seems all a bit much for what is essentially fans supporting their team.

people love laying the boot into other teams for any and all reasons.

yes it is corny, but meh, I like that they are trying new things to try and engage the supporters. some of them might not work but better than doing nothing, or even worse, alienating your core supporter base (port magpies anyone? ;) )
