Golden Grove, Salisbury West and Eastern Park have declined the invitation to go to D3...

Of course they have. It's a week out from R1, hardly enough time to recruit for a higher division.

example Kilburn go down to div 7 and the Pooraka C grade comes in as a filler as the reserve side...pooraka C grade players could play in the Kilburn line up and vice versa SAAFL and Pooraka could police it easy cause at the end of the day Pooraka would not field any B grade or border line A graders in its C grade to that could be used to help a kilburn

It's already rubbish that a C-grade team is playing in the D7-reserves (D-Grade level comp) and that clubs and their volunteers are split over two venues in one day and your suggestion is to do it again... No thanks.

Agree, the big attraction for club's being able to field C/D Grades in 7/7R and 8/8R is being able to consolidate your volunteers/resources at one venue for both Grades.

Having senior sides playing at 3 different locations in one day is a huge logistical pain.

no they're not

and your argument about 3 different locations is moot - you only do it once in the season .

OUr c'/d's play Blackwood at Blackwood and CLG at CLG on the same day.

One is a 10.15am game and the other a 2.15pm. Blackwood not far from CLG and plenty of time to get from point A to point B.

In one breath you dont' want a bye and in the next you're all complaining because you MIGHT get split up ONCE in a season.

No pleasing some people...

Sides are just picking and choosing what they do now, relegation and promotion are no longer certainties.

It affects us because we meet the league criteria and don't pick and choose where we play and when we have lean years we face the music.

fair point...

well said..as have many clubs over the years..TTG C grade (yes i know its a C grade but it was a very very good C grade) set the precedent last year when instead of staying promoted in div 6 they asked to go down to div 8 because they couldn't win a game.. and as warned at the time it would start something..which it has..you reap what you sow..

So where's the line between it being moot and a pain?

Twice a season? Three times a season? 5 times?

Once is annoying and a pain. I don't see anyone spitting the dummy, I just see people expressing annoyance at something that is, well, annoying.

Well there is. Work the traditional system of an A Grade and a B Grade who both play and play one before the other.

That this situation is impossible due to current events surrounding Kilburn, Flinders Park and others is regrettable. All I see are people expressing their regret.

I'd understand if the y had to do it every other week - it would drive me nuts too - and yes, I agree that D7 and D8 should be filled with the same teams.

Would you prefer an 8 team comp with a shortened competition or the bye?

I'm seeing people having a whinge for the sake of it.

I'm seeing the same people, who were congratulating Kilburn on "sticking it out in d3" now cursing them for not going to the C grades.

Make up your fricking minds!

Div 7 has a bye, which the Wingfield fixture could easily be moved to. No loss of revenue, no trying to make a trainer be in two places at once etc

Tell me who'd go up?

I think someone from Golden Grove mentioned they'd like to - but why swap short odds for a flag to play in a flag to finishing in the middle of the pack.
