Eh just another day at the office, getting fired up is over rated.. Game is at Rowe Park, should be an interesting contest.

Phantom's like that bloke for Collingwood in the cheer squad who gets dressed up and fires the boys up before and during each game.

Has Mawson Lakes uploaded the team on the SAAFL website? Cant see who's lining up in any of the 3 grades.

"Smashed them" was what I was told from a neutral spectator..

That neutral supporter obviously "smashed" a few too many red cans. 3 goals is hardly being smashed and after kicking 4 goals to nothing in the first 10 minutes, our blokes were all moved around into different positions. Apart from the ruckmen, the rest of our starting midfielders weren't playing for various reasons. I challenge any side to to play consistently well with your 5 best mids not on the park.

Fitzroy were good and played a rolling zone style very well. It's not unbeatable, just might catch most sides off guard in the first 9 rounds until they work out how to combat it.

Don't really see why you would bring up trial game form from 3 weeks ago. You will only really know how good any side is by about round 9 and they've played everyone once. Fitzroy aren't 2-0 with 4 points after winning two trials...

Yea your right Demon it is only trial form mate and we ain't 2-0 yet. All i'm am saying mate is that every player that puts on the Fitzroy gurneys tomorrow afternoon are all very excited about the year ahead and are ready to go. Over the last 3 years buddy we as a club haven't had much to get excited about but with new coaches in all grades A's B's and C's we are all looking forward to what the season brings our club. We as club new when we played Hope Vally that they weren't full strength but what team is in there first trial.

Norwood beat Port last night after not winning a trial. Trials are hit outs only nothing more and nothing less.

I was only using the feedback from the trial game as an indication that Fitzroy will be a formidable unit in this grade this season.

Regardless of the circumstances of the match and who was missing or what coaches were doing, the fact remains that Fitzroy were obviously able to get something very valuable out of a hit out against a side two divs higher..

Ive never ever seen the sence of mind games in amatuer footy. Once you've picked your team, thats pretty much final. We're adults here, not children.

Can't see too many people losing sleep over an unnamed line up

In all fairness, it probably wouldn't be overly difficult to work out a possible 25 players that may line up based on last season and new recruits

Come on mate you pick the team Thursday and a lot of the times there are changes after that, maybe no one at the club knows how to do it?

Dont really see what the problem is anyway

No problem here mate. My brother still plays out there. He's put in a huge pre season and I wanted to see where he lined up. Plus, Mawsons is my old club, so I like to see where my mates are lining up this year and also how the team fares. No big deal from my part.
