It's what happens when kilburn have just thrown money around over the last ten years. Haven't worried about keeping their kids. Of coarse the players they have aren't loyal as they were all poached from other clubs.

The record loss in SAAFL history is in jeopardy this year.

I too believe that was the case with Seaton if not it is going to be a long season for the young Elizabeth side if that's the standard in c2. It still baffles me how a division 5 club has to play against division 2 & 3 sides.

really not that baffling, quality of A grade isnt a very good reflection of quality of C grade

I believe sides have to still name a B grade side that would've played Kilburn
And those guys can't play Cs the next week... If that makes sense!?
Seaton must've added some fair depth,

I doubt it. Anyone can play anywhere. It's not the finals

What if 5 players came back into the A grade and 5 needed to drop down to the B's? That means 5 have to drop down to the C's from a list of players you just said can't play C's next week. Do they have to apply for a permit to play at their own club?

Its unfortunate for their C grade opponent, but I think they can play wherever they like this week and next week

Catch is on the money, this is a clear direction from the SAAFL; name a team and no one from that team can play down the next week.

so kilburn had 14 numbers and managed to get to 18 great effort then to get belted by 340 odd points great effort thank you to the idiots on here who wanted them in div 3 and to the league for allowing this crap to happen in what is suppose to be one of the top end divisions

they will struggle to field a team week in week out what goals do they set this week lose by under 300 points and get a full side listed

they should have been put in C1 even up until last week disgrace the league is willing to let this shit go on week in week out let the thrashings roll in

FFS, it was KILBURNS decision to stay up!

They were offered again as late last week an offer to be shifted and Kilburn said NO

I just love how all of you at the beginning th said "good on Kilburn for sticking it out and not taking the soft option"

and now you're all carrying on that they've stayed up.

PG may be able to shed some light here but It may have something to do with the fact that Kilburn believe that if they go to C grade they would lose the A grade players they have left and the club would die. I believe that's already happened anyway (the players leaving bit) so is it just a matter of pride now?

by round 10 theyll be forfeiting, theyre probably expecting it and the club is just hoping they can get enough numbers for Div 4 next year

else by going to C1 theyre whole standings in the higher divs is forever lost

just let em fade out and get smashed. the bye is coming

footy chick not once have i said for kilburn to stay up and i even pointed out the players that had registered were not up to the standard of div 3 and still are not trainning ....the league could have looked over the playing list and seen what i seen i have made it clear several times in this thread and im sure people from the league read this also yet you all put your head in the sand ....the fact the league let a club make the decision based on no information is terrible and what information they were given was probably bull shit

plym looked good in patches and lead for most of the day and even going out to a 3 goal lead mid last before Iggies found a way with their big men to get back into it and get the points at the end. good game but at at crucial times Plym skills let us down especially our delivery into the forwards and hopefully we can rectify that as we go along
well played Iggies and i am sure Plym will take away some positives

can we have reviews from other games except Kilburn / Seaton

The Modbury Pembroke game from all reports was close until the hawks pulled away in the last to win by 4 odd goals.

We lost concentration during the second half of the first quarter and Mitcham kicked five. That was it.

If they reposition Kilburn now......Ramblers would be laughing their heads off with the % advantage they got by playing the Chics first up. Dare say the remaining eight side won't be amused.....if that is what happens.

If they move kilburn now think you'll find today will become a 10 goal forfeit win

To late to move them now should have done it before the season started, maybe the league want's them to fall over so they can bring in some other teams next year.

no it isnt, they moved the TTG Div 6 side last year after round 2 down to Div 7 or 8

Heard that a few Pembroke lads weren't happy with Jolly In the first quarter?! Can anyone shed some light? Red card given?

That said, I think both teams, along with Seaton and Unley, to be top 4 this year. Early days though!
