Postby Big Phil » Tue Apr 22, 2014 11:52 am

Last seasons Grand Final combatants become the first two SANFL clubs to compete at the new Adelaide Oval...

ANZAC Day is always a special one on the calendar for all Australians and will no doubt be a great privilege for all those involved on the day...

Norwood coming off a rare back to back to loss while North just got the points in a scrappy contest last Thursday night against the Bloods...

My prediction. Norwood to go on a wild scoring spree and kick six goals. :(

For those interested, I have a couple of free Double Passes for this game to give away, courtesy of Radio Station RPH Adelaide and the SANFL...

If interested, send me a PM and we can work out a way to get the ticket to you before Friday. First in, best dressed, only a couple left...

Cant tip us with any confidence at all. Forward line is dysfunctional and cant see us kicking a winning score. Hope im wrong but the Cocks by 4-5 goals

We might get some back and Gregg is out but I'm not sure how match fit OSullivan and Craig would be.

O'Sullivan has played two games of reserves, so he should be ready for a league outing. I'm not so sure about Craig.

Does anyone know anything about Toby Schulz, who looked very promising in the Reserves on Thursday night? Is it the same Toby Schulz who looked a likely type for Norwood about 3 years ago, but got into some discipline issues. In January it was reported that he was returning to the Parade, but he doesn't appear to be on Norwood's list.

If it's the same guy, he left Norwood before round one.

Busy year for Toby Schulz. Went ammos to Norwood, Norwood back to ammos, then ammos to North Adelaide, all in the space of about one month. Still, being a tall defender going from Norwood to North has worked out okay for Will Dalwood. At least in terms of getting a regular game, if not playing in a flag.

The bright side for Norwood: they've defied the pundits every game this year. They definitely started as outsiders round 1 (there was a book on the game) and I'm pretty sure that most people picked them for rounds 2 and 3. So, pile on the 'North to win' predictions.

With you there Ian, at least you guys have an "early" game. Won't finish at the Bay until about 10pm (when the lights get turned off and we are left in the dark).

Up at 5am, Dawn Service, home, get changed, march in the city, go to the pub and get a couple of pints in with my old unit, off to the Bay at 5pm.

North usually lose 'big' games unfortunately.

Would expect some personnel changes for Norwood for this game. Not that it will matter if we can't perform somewhere near our best.

I was thinking exactly the same for North.

I expect Miles, James Craig, Max Thring and O'Sullivan to be back in, but other than the Adelaide game, North have not performed anywhere near the standard I had hoped for.

That's a fair list of in's - I thought ours might have been handy, but that group is hard to beat! (would guess Panos, Phillips, M. Evans & Murphy for us)
