Postby Big Phil » Mon May 05, 2014 8:48 pm

This game will see two sides come together backing up after a less than impressive performance last week. The Dogs, by all reports, were terrible against the Bloods, while a slightly undermanned Roosters side were comfortably accounted for by an impressive Sturt side...

Dogs fans will be expecting their side to come out breathing fire and will be desperate to break a 3 game losing streak. North will be hoping a couple of key palyers can return from injury and front for the game at a venue they a good recent record at...

Deadly serious.

North are an enigma. Can play brilliantly and look like world beaters one week then play the crappiest football on the planet the week after.

Central are obviously struggling, but I wouldn't discount a huge effort at home to get over the line. Their issue is being consistent enough over a season.

A genuine toss of the coin for me.

If you witnessed what I did yesterday you would tip North by 5 to 10 goals.

If you witnessed what we saw the day before, you'd tip the Dogs by plenty

Even when North have won, all except against the Cows they've been less than impressive

Yes but we were the first and only team to lose to the Crows.
We lost to the winless bottom team.
We only average 9 goals per game and could only kick 4 goals for the entire game whereas the WA Full Forward kicked 5 by himself!

I think my team is worse than your team.
Since 2000 until 2010 approx. they used to find a way to win, this side has turned 180 degrees and is now expert in finding ways to lose.

Based on what we saw yesterday, I am not even sure that we will win another game this season. However, this is the time for the players at the club to stand up and show their real pride. We MUST perform at our very best on Saturday. We still have players capable of performing well and winning matches but we need to show heart. This is the game to win: to show belief in each other and, especially, to win it for Symesy.
Not confident but I would hope the boys can actually pull something out this week and get a win at home.

An important game as it could be the difference of coming 6th or 7th at the end of the year.

Whatever happens, I think I'll be knocking back a few bevvies and by the end of the game, the result won't matter.

And they reckon a weeks a long time in politics, lol. I've heard that Laird blasted the senior players after the Westies debacle and said that some senior players would be dropped to the reserves against North. I heard he reiterated this later in the evening when presenting awards to the games better players. Actually named two players who would definitely come into the side. Waldhuter being one. So what do we see tonight? Waldhuter in and rumour has it, Edmead out. So Edmead is now classified a senior player, lol. The players at Centrals must be shaking in their collective boots worried about the "wrath of Laird"! Is it any wonder that there appears so many issues in and around the club.

I've lost count of how many times Centrals have found form playing the chooks. We need a big lift from the whole team to start with. Some hit outs from any of our ruckmen would help, although it might confuse our onballers.

I'm going to miss my first North game for just over 2 years,

It's not just because of their poor form, but that with the fact I'm renovating and need to do more, the distance (normally doesn't stop me, I haven't missed a Central or South game for 5 years), it will be wet and Mrs Ian has the car, I'd have to go on the motorbike,
if I get enough done in the morning I might go catch either Lockleys or Fitzroy play in the afternoon instead.

The result on this one is any ones guess, other that Rd 1 V the pretenders and 1 or 2 other quarters, North have showed nothing to excite or instill confidence to it's supporters

Make sure you have the radio on then, listening to the 1197am RPH call - they might even give you a shout out? ;)
