His ol' man Kevvy played 250 games for the EFC, while younger brother Slammer has over 150 on board.
A great example of loyalty from all three.
Thanks to Webby for giving Col a guard of honour. Much respect there.

Disappointing 'no-one went into the rooms afterwards' - doesn't matter where you are, you should do it. Someone should be in there and buy a drink, we expect it of all clubs that visit us.

And...40-9 is a ridiculous count. There is no game that can justify that sort of count.

Jetters, I don't normally blast people on this forum, but how about you piss off and go whinge somewhere else. It was a sh*t incident that happened two years ago and totally unjustifiable, but it was dealt with, the player is no longer with the EFC. Time to move on.

I don't recall bringing that up.

This was Jetters the umpire thinking it is stupid to ask the umpires to justify all the decisions they made. Fair nerve.
Taking free kick stats IMO is dumb in the first place.

Yes....Jetters the umpire! you would know more than most about 1 sided free kick counts ;)

As an umpire, I prefer teams to keep a count, I'd encourage them to discuss the figures with me over a beer after the match.

Flipper, everything you hear about Harvey is close to the mark. Has the height, pace and football nous to be a handful for any SAAFL side, especially div 5/6 where he has been the last couple of years. Blokes a freak. I said after playing against them last year that CLG would have won div 5 with last years side, so ill stand by that and back em in for the flag!

i fully agree and have said so previously..

interested in who the forum thinks is the leading reserves team..EFC or ALFC? EFC looked good when we played them and had the experienced target up forward..ALFC has had a huge influx of players which would contribute to an improved reserves team..who is better? and is there any reason for the 2013 div5R premiers to be in 7th position right now?

A huge game out at Argana Park this week, a win puts a 2 game early buffer on the relegation zone and keeps the top 5 within striking distance, a loss means a 2-4 record which starts making finals look tough having to win 8 from the next 12.
I'm surprised where WOS sit on the table although they have had the toughest of runs so far, interesting to see that they haven't won at home and haven't lost away.
It's a bit hard to determine where Elizabeth are at just yet, a developing side that has only beaten the bottom two sides but pushed North Haven all the way at Largs North Reserve which is a fair achievement.

and is there any reason for the 2013 div5R premiers to be in 7th position right now?

Probably the fact that half of that premiership side are playing A grade.

That's an exaggeration, about a third, 6 players from Saturdays A grade side played in that premiership side.

We're sitting 7th in the reserves mainly because the reserves are quite a different team from last year and it's taken until now for us to gel properly. Our loses against WOS and Elizabeth by small margins can be put down to us having a reasonably new team IMO and as most people know it takes a little while for a team to gel properly. As for our loss against Para Hills, we were just absolutely belted by a better team on the day. It was an embrassing start at 0 and 3 but now we are getting better.

In my opinion SSS CLG were a far superior side to WOS last year, I took that judgement from the 6 games we played against both sides. The fact that WOS had a better day on GF doesnt make them a better side for the year, merely on the day.. The starts they have had to Div 5 this year would probably back my case up somewhat as well. Im far from a CLG fan, I am just saying that they are seriously good side

NH B Grade would have about 5 or 6 left from the GF Last year and the year before I think they will improve over the season and hopefully make the finals but I doubt they will be the force they were last year.
On a positive note we are getting an average of 70 at trainings so numbers are good despite losing so many from that particular team.
Dols is partially correct a large number are in the As replacing players that moved on this season.

I haven't seen CLG but they seem to be pretty good from all reports. I have seen WOS though and I would rate them the second best team we have played behind Para Hills. But in an even comp any team can the look the goods on any given day.
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

I'll put my hand up. I picked PH, based on who CLG had played. Suffice it to say I was very very wrong.

Havens 2013 GF side is not at all the side playing at the moment...
To the A grade: bates, rhys heffernan, betteridge,Martin, duerdan
Grimmond- Rosewater
Day- gone
Beau hefferenan-gone
Griffen- has not played in 2014
Woods-has not played in 2014
Rowlands-has not played in 2014
Dempsey-has not played in 2014
A. Portolesi and Moran only just started playing.

Still a long way to go and those lads may return, so the 2's will be round the mark.
