Dangerfield, Thompson, Sloane - 30 clearances, 48 contested possessions, 22 tackles.

Pendlebury, Swan, Beams - 15 clearances, 37 contested possies, 12 tackles

Not saying Adelaide have a better midfield but they owned the guts tonight.

Those stats don't lie, very alarming from a Collingwood point of view. Well done to the Crows midfield, they sure did own the guts tonight. Got the job done against a very good midfield.

Great to hear that Charlie Cameron played well. I saw him play for Swan Districts in the WAFL last year and thought he had excellent skills.
My faith was such that I snaffled him as a $115K Dream Team pick :)

His pressure was awesome. Fumbled a little bit below his knees, first game nerves. After he kicked that goal he one grabbed the next one at full pace.

Hopefully for crows fans that is the last you will see of Petrenko- absolute spud.

Tipped us to win by 20 points tonight. Pretty happy to win by 21. Had a feeling all day that we were going to win tonight, nice barmy night, big crowd, the back in town had an Afc winning flavour in the air.

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here but Luke Brown take your hat off son! Kept J.Elliot goalless, superb defensive effort by him and his mates.

Thought Hartigan got better as the game went on, had a few Brent Reilly moments in the first quarter.

Sloane improved as the game went on, his disposal really let him down in that first half.

Brodie Smith is a "blue chip" player and would rival sloane for our second best player, prob has him covered on disposal and pace.

Charlie Cameron, I think everyone took notice of your game tonigh, the only one that wouldn't be pleased would be Petrenko.

I reckon the nuetral supported would have acknowledged our pressure on the ball carrier tonight, and probably enjoyed seeing the magpies get knocked off.

Also port can thank us for the breathing space we have given them - now 2 games clear from collingwood.

Last point - josh Jenkins is definitely proving his worth, 7 games 17
Goals, going to be a beauty as he develops.

The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

LMAO, Collingwood only scored 1 more goal from there on, told ya BM!!! :D

I seriously didn't see that coming .. I know Im critical of the Crows and am pretty sure I will be again because I doubt they can sustain tonight's performance, but credit where it's due, they found something tonight they haven't previously this season, and have kept their year alive.

*Warning, this is a 'footy used to be better' rant*

So rolling mauls, 30 players huddled around the footy restricting the time/space for the bloke with the ball to do anything constructive with it, forwards often being swamped by 2 or 3 defenders, and shocking skills in front of goals (Collingwood), make for a good spectacle if you dont have a vested interest in who wins? Akin to watching Rugby Union at times. Each to their own though.

The great man Dougy Hawkins had a similiar whinge on radio this morning.
