Bloody bad luck for the lad! Footy doesn't get much crueler (if that's a word)! At least for Barmera it's happened well before June 30, plenty of time to go shopping!

Have heard a rumour the Loxton coach was reported Saturday, can anyone confirm this?
Berri also with a big upset win over Barmera, weather a factor? Or are Berri a contender

Give credit where credit's due. Nobody gave Berri a hope in hell at the start of the year and they have just beaten one of the premiership favourites. I wasn't at the game but from what I hear, it was a great win. Well done to the Berri lads. They have done it pretty tough over the past 12 months and a win like that early in the season has to be a huge confidence booster for the lads. You can't blame the weather for Barmera losing. That's a terrible excuse which I'm sure the Barmera players would agree. Berri may not be a premiership threat but if they can push the better teams and get some wins on the board, that is going to give them great confidence throughout the rest of this year and thus continue on through next year. It's great for Riverland Footy.

Nathan Brown returned to Wunkar in fine form, will be very handy if he's here for the whole year. All of a sudden Wunkar are a smokey for the four!!

Browny's a very good pick-up.
Mick's done really well out there. Got a bunch of young guys to commit to the club and they're all having a crack.

Fair percentage of the team is from the 2010 colts premiership.

I've no doubt that every town has been accused of having the ugly supporter and sometimes rightly so.... Mick from Barmera.... Robbo - LN.... And so on.... BUT for the Renmark supporter to personally threaten the central umpire - Jordan Wright (17 years old) is an absolute disgrace.... Things like "I know where you live" "you cheated when you were goal umpiring and your still cheating".... he is 17 for f**ks sake ... if the Renmark FC don't do any thing about this d***head then they are accepting this behaviour.... Find out who this wanker is and ban him.... RFC I hope you have the balls.....

I was standing next to the other senior umpire at one stage telling a Renmark player that one of the decisions Jordan made was terribly wrong. I would have thought the other umpire should have been the first one to support him.

On another note I actually think the umpiring in general has been pretty good the last few weeks.

Very close round of RFL yesterday, bottom almost getting over top side, close one at Barmera & North not having it al their own way at Berri. not much between all 6 sides, good for the RFL. Barmera's injury woes continue with Brodie Jennings going down with what looked like a serious knee injury, good luck to the young fellow don't like to see guys go down with knee injuries.

I was told by someone from BW that the players involved were going at it when the Bomber got Payney high, who threw his head back, like he "usually does". The BW player got a red, Payne got straight back up and continued the game.
They also said BSR threw out their fair share.

Seems there was a head count late in the game, too. BSR had 19.
