Also Kane Cornes I like him but he must hurt the opposition more with his disposal he needs to find more targets by foot of give the ball off.

He is special. At 20 years old with an AA and B&F this kids got a huge future ahead of him.

Port 2014 - Pre-Season/General Discussion

Postby bennymacca » Mon May 26, 2014 11:20 am

Wingard reminds me a little bit of Andrew McLeod. Not in the way they play but just that he seems like a big game player. Lifts when the team needs him, and can kick that clutch goal. Makes the whole team lift around him.

Has a punchable face though :)

Lucky that's all he got.
Is he just plain dumb or what, I don't think thats the 1st time he has done something like that.
His attempts at being a hard man are laughable.

For those interested- Port unveiled their indigenous round jumper this afternoon. I quite like it, Freo have gone with a very similar design. Kept it simple.

I like the design, but i'm a little suprised Port didn't get someone local (South Australian) to do the design.

Having said that I think Brendon's mum has done a great job!

I can see merit in that PG- but I also like the idea of port keeping it in house and offering the opportunity for their indigenous contingent to do their bit. Jake Neade's mum designed last years jumper, and with Ah Chee's mum getting the opportunity this year, is a great initiative to get the families of these kids involved in the club for what is a special round for their heritage.

Yeah that's fair. Either way I like the design, I just thought for Port Adelaide being a SA team and a club on the rise in this state, they may have looked to engage local community and get them on board and help create closer connections with them,

Actually quite liked some of the designs at the Power Cup, perhaps they could look at getting designs down the track from these school kids?

Some might call it a little contrived but I am a fan of these sorts of community engagement rounds.
