Don't look know but here come the Raging Hooligans. This looks like Joker's best chance to get some Hogg glory after a couple of sparkling results in Division VI. First he ended the winning streak of the high scoring Isotopes unit and this week he cleaned up massively with a huge 1144 point victory over the last place Mustangs. This stunning result sees the Hooligans rise to third on the ladder.

Meanwhile, the unbeaten sides might just be looking over their shoulder a bit. RustyCage remain on top after they collected the points in unconvincing fashion against rookie coach Izshi 18. I expect Andy to come back in the second half of the season though as he has just won the Hogg Shield in the A League this year. PowerFailure however, seem to have acquired a knack of winning the close ones. The pirate collected a five point win over an unlucky Failed Creation who scored a score good enough to win against most other teams in the top eight. If Creation can keep up this level of continual improvement, finals are certainly on the cards.

Meanwhile earlier season bolter the Topes dropped the big one this week. The topes turned blue after being sent to the cooling tower by Sturt B Team who had their most important victory of the season. There are a couple of ladies in this divvy who aren't travelling too badly at all in Leisa and Lily who are now sitting pretty in the eight. The other female player in Divvy VI, the Evil Penguins lost the girlie battle with the Lovelies and they are OUTTA HERE.

St Brays and thekickingkangaroo have found that winning has become a habit but Brendamage has lost his way a touch. Meanwhile, the big four down the bottom still have donuts in the W column so expect a few mockbusters in this league over the next few weeks.

yeah same... i dno't want to use trades but i have no choice... Also players who were scoring pretty good early on have now put up low scores... Also with Fasola scroing bugger all last week and Ellis (west coast) the week earlierputting up bugger all score hasn't helped one bit...

The Raging Hooligans and the Isotopes look to be the favourites to play off in the Grand Final after both teams once again racked up big scores on the weekend. The Isotopes returned to form by flogging the redtins and the Hooligans scored even better to pop Sturt B Team's recent bubble.

Any win you get outside of the bottom four teams can be considered a good one in this league and this week Brendamage, iZshi 18 and the impressive kickingkangaroo recorded such a win to shore up reasonable ladder positions. Evil Penguins continued on their downward spiral as they head down to join the bottom four teams who obviously have yet to play off against each other.

Loose Husseys, RustyCage and PowerFailure all continued on their winning ways but a closer look at their scoring patterns suggests that these sides might be fighting out for the last two top four spots joining the Hooligans and the Topes but winning form is good form. In a bad week for the girls the Evil Penguins, Leisas Lovelies and iSwitCh were all beaten with the Lovelies the only representative of her gender currently in the top eight. Maybe they'll get their revenge next week in Women's round.

The Isotopes, Loose Husseys and Raging Hooligans have looked the most likely this year but during the first bye week unbeaten RustyCage and PowerFailure both recorded impressive tallies to keep their records intact. PowerFailure's 1674 would have stood up well in the Hogg Champions League this week and many teams in this league have struggled to match RustyCage's 1620 during a regulation week.

The topes, Husseys and Hooligans all recorded wins as expected so there should be some crucial matches coming up between the top five sides over the next few weeks. One of the top five be the unlucky team that misses the double chance.

Failed Creation and Leisa's Lovelies both recorded victories that consolidated their top eight places and you'd think that both teams will make the finals. This means there is one place left in the top eight and as many as five sides could be fighting over it. The incumbent iSwiTch is only in the eight because Brendamage were smashed by PowerFailure. St Brays Saints don't look the part, they won this week with the lowest winning total in the Hogg this season. Sturt B could be a chance for that last spot but I reckon the kid kickingkangaroo might get that last spot. Pierson was more than a bit lucky to lose with 1366 at this level during a bye.

The bottom four sides remain winless with MightyEagles coming closest to breaking their duck as they just missed out on victory against the Saints. Thiele Crows wears the Dunce's hat this week although his 758 was around 200 points better than Division V combo LetMeBackInWedgie! Strawb and MightyEags remain, as always the favourite for the coveted title as the wooden spooner of the Hogg.

The RustyCage is open for business after the Cage smashed out an impressive 2040 which was too good for the top eight Lovelies and the rest of the league as well. A strong win over a fellow finals contender sees the Cage remain unbeaten for the season and a game clear of the pack after PowerFailure was defeated in an upset result at the hands of mid-table iSwiTch. Despite this win, iSwiTch actually fell out of the top eight as Sturt B boogied right in.

thekickingkangaroo won yet again and it seems as though the Joeys are ready to pouch a spot in the top eight. On recent results I would expect them to eventually hop over Sturt B and maybe the inconsistent Lovelies as well. Apart from the Failure, the other power teams of Division VI went well with Isotopes, Raging Hooligans and Loose Hussey all collecting the four points but Rusty Cage looks the strongest of them all right now.

Failed Creation's 15 point win could be very Damaging indeed for Bren as they appear to be fighting over the one finals spot and Failed Creation already had the advantage. A few kicks here and there and that finals spot would have been wide open so well done Creation and bad luck for Brenny. Somehow, Footychick's Evil Penguins are back in the hunt when they won their first match for some time but a 70 point win over the Mustangs isn't going to make any Premier League coaches looking enviously at her side.

I reckon the top six look safe for the finals and the bottom four will avoid relegation because there is no Hogg Division VII. So the rest of the season will be all about which teams can snaffle those last two finals places. Hold your trades in this divvy, you'll need them in July and August.

PowerFailure has been living up to their name lately as they dropped a second straight match to fall to sixth on the ladder. This week the Power Failed against the mighty RustyCage who are on a real roll now with eight straight wins and outright leadership of the league. There wasn't much big scoring during this tough bye week in the lowest Hogg league but the Isotopes could hold their head high in tougher divisions than this one with their more than respectable tally of 1818 which was nearly a thousand points to the good of the winless MightyEags.

thekickingkangaroo got a boot in the pouch this week with the Joeys suffering their first defeat for many weeks. Pierson was no match for the Loose Husseys who have now won seven matches on the trot since losing to the topes in the first round. The Raging Hooligans continued with their fine form with a hard fought win over Andy's Izshi 18 and Leisa's Lovelies, Sturt B and Failed Creation all recorded victories to consolidate their positions in the top eight.

Outside of the top eight Brendamage returned to form with a comfortable win over the Evil Penguins but Lily's iSwiTch came an absolute cropper. Down in the bottom four congrats to Play4RedTins who managed their first win of the season over fellow stragglers Mustangs who must be waiting for their annual grudge match against MightyEags to unleash a point scoring bonanza and thus dodge the spoon.

That's pretty sweet!
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.
You don't need no golden cross to tell you wrong from right,
The world's worst murderers were those who saw the light.

18 Mustangs 0 9 10246 15882 64.51 0

Not much news to report in Division VI as this league has the most predictable outcomes from week to week. Brendamage is back in the top eight at the expense of Leisa's Lovelies who were well beaten by top four contender Loose Husseys. The power is back on this week as PowerFailure snapped a two match losing streak as they proved too strong for the Saints.

The Isotopes kept on keeping on (trust Rolf Harris, sure can't) after they won a high quality match against thekickingkangaroos who are starting to lose contact with the top eight teams now. Top team RustyCage got the job done in another top match as Failed Creation came up short. In the bottom 'half' of the ladder IswiTch and Play4RedTins both had wins with the Tins getting their second win on the trot. However, wins against the bottom three sides are not the kind of wins that will make you a finals hope this year. I reckon 10, maybe 11 wins are needed to make the top eight so you'd like to be ahead of the count at this stage.

The Raging Hooligans and the Loose Husseys fell over this week and this meant that RustyCage is now two games clear at the top of the ladder in Division VI. Isotopes returned to topes form this week as they carded an impressive 2114 over an unlucky Leisas Lovelies whose 1971 would have seen them get the points against a lot of teams this week.

Lily's iSwiTch has been playing in the Hogg for three seasons now and have never appeared in a finals series but they moved into the top eight at the expense of Brendamage as the Switch saluted by 61 points. thekickingkangaroo got back into the race by upsetting the Raging Hooligans and Izshi 18 got a win as well to remain in the hunt.

Congrats to Thiele who won his first game of the year in a match that resembled your typical Westies v Norwood match. Defence was the winner! Failed Creation, Sturt B and PowerFailure were teams inside the top eight that rolled on for another week. I'm liking the topes for the flag in this division but it certainly isn't as one sided as I thought it might be. The run home is going to be a real battle for those last top four spots, you think after winning ten straight that the Cage has booked their top four spot......or have they?
