Not alone there Benny- the indigenous people have played a huge role in australian football, and will continue to do so. They are a special kind of player for their own uniqueness and deserve to be acknowledged. The same can be said for womens round, heritage round etc- I like it.

PG- Taking that view point, that isnt a silly idea at all. Perhaps port could look at engaging indigenous players within their squad, and members of the indigenous community to design next years- definitely ticks the box of community engagement that is for sure.

Injuries starting to mount :

Lewis Stevenson – toe (available)*
Matt White – foot (assess)
Travis Boak – ankle (assess)
Chad Wingard – concussion (assess)
Dom Cassisi – knee soreness (assess)
Angus Monfries – ankle (assess)

Sam Russell – hamstring (assess)
Paul Stewart - knee (1 week)
Cameron Hitchcock – shin (3-4 weeks)
Andrew Moore - collarbone (4-6 weeks)
Campbell Heath – knee (12-14 weeks)
Sam Colquhoun – knee (season)*
Jarrad Redden – knee (season)*
Brent Renouf – knee (season)

Would like at least 3 of the bolded to get up for this week. Happy to give Wingard and or Boak a week off.

PAUL Stewart has been ruled out of Saturday’s home clash against St Kilda at Adelaide Oval.

Stewart did not train with the main group on Wednesday morning because of a knee injury.

He joins Andrew Moore as a confirmed out for Round 12, with Travis Boak (ankle) and Matt White (foot) also in doubt for the clash after missing training. Chad Wingard (concussion) trained on Wednesday, but still needs to prove his fitness.

Dom Cassisi (knee soreness) and Angus Monfries (ankle) both missed the Power’s clash with Melbourne in Alice Springs and will require further assessment before the team is selected on Thursday afternoon.

Stewart is expected to miss just one week.

with the exception of boak and wingard, who i doubt are seriously injured, you have had a pretty good run with having your prime movers still up and about. makes a huge difference.

which one of them?

they wouldnt take any player to alice to play against melbourne if they thought they would potentially miss the next week though.

and even if they miss this week they arent missing a month of footy. that was my point. they have had their best, or close to their best team on the park all season.

Warren Tredrea, Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee.

During the period of 2001, 2002 (49 goals ),2003 (58) ,2004 (81) Tredders stood tall as the best CHF in the game.

Widely regarded as the hardest position to play on the field Tredrea stood out as the best player for 4 consecutive years in that position and in 2004 was one of the stand out players in the competition. 81 goals from CHF in a Premiership year. =D>

All part of a stellar career that started as a 17 year old SANFL Premiership player. This bloke was and is a bloody champion of our game and deserves his induction as an Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee.

Port have nothing to fear....unless I pick Robbie Gray in my SuperCoach side. Then watch him break an Ovary.

Meh it's only round 13... Won't determine anything.

Port would surely go in favourites

You've gotta be kidding me. Sydney will be a $1.40-$1.50 favourite next week and are clearly the flag favs in front of the Hawks and then Port

Nup. Swans got beat by GWS instantly makes the power favourites. Seriously though you have to be confident

IMO Sydney are clear favourites not only for this week but again IMO the flag.

If Buddy gets one and Tippett misses obviously that helps no end this week and even makes it an almost even money game but I still rate Sydneys midfield as the best in the comp.

All points to a cracking game my thoughts at this stage Sydney 13-24

I don't see Sydney as flag favorites, probably still the Hawks but there's so much to happen still. Would just about have the house on Hawks, Ports, Swans or Dockers taking the flag out. Probably come down to who cops the luckiest /unluckiest breaks from here on.

Fair call.

Although I don't think the Dockers can win the flag. 3 horse race for mine albeit very close in order Sydney, Hawks, Port.
