The same full back that has been injured for atleast three weeks, has been unable to train and missed club games due to injury will not be playing this week due to a suspension? Punishment for being injured? Players obviously unable to play zone games. Why invite a player who is clearly unable to play due to injury, spuds.

Actually - scratch my last. The rule is:
If a player is injured and does not represent their Club in the match prior to the nominated Inter League match or matches and provides the required medical advice that the player is not fit to represent the APFL in the Inter League match or matches there will be no penalty/game suspension imposed on the subject player. The subject player will still be required to present to the APFL medical staff for an independent assessment.

Bit of an emergency at Port Wakefield last night, young lad airlifted to hospital. All the best for the lad and his family.

Not sure on what happened but I hope he's ok. Sounds serious.

Yeah, young HWE player.
I haven't got rock solid confirmation on the ID of the kid involved but from what I can gather, he's got a knock to the head in a run-of-the-mill training drill and it's turned into a serious situation.

Yeah I heard the chopper fly in last night, after hearing sirens earlier. Always know its serious when the chopper is involved.
Would have been quite scary no doubt. :(

Buzzy is awake and appear to be on the mend which is great and should be out if intensive care tomorrow if he keeps improving.

He was standing the mark in a competitive drill and smothered the kick with ball hitting him pretty hard but nothing out of the ordinary, at this stage it appears to be a freak accident where the ball hit him in exactly the wrong stop at exactly the wrong time.
