Up to 40 Essendon players from 2012  that is almost the entire squad isn't it?

Pretty much. Could be the end of Essendon with their entire squad being suspended for 6 years, who will all go after Essendon for their own financial loss.

Think there is about 14 of the current squad that wasnt around in 2012. It is also a bit of media hysteria IMO, ive said all along probably only 8-12 players will cop suspensions. The AFL does have contingency plans in place though I believe, might see our VFL side playing in the AFL lol. Apparantly players have known for a couple of weeks which would probably explain why they have been moping around half arsed on the field

Would this also have impact on the players who have moved on and their new clubs i.e Monfries?

I still don't get why Dank isn't being questioned about all this.

Not suggesting he did or didn't do anything, but not to be compelled to give evidence? WTF?

It says up to 40 players, going by my maths there is 29 current Essendon squad members from 2012, some have retired or been delisted and a few have moved clubs, these guys would also be in trouble. The club still maintains several squad members didnt partake in the program ( I keep hearing that there were 13 that said no of which Fletcher and Ryder are the two highest names) that leaves 16 of the current side potentially facing bans. Out of that there is reportedly 8 that have taken Thymosin and the rest AOD, The AOD is the one the club thinks we will get off on, the 8 others are definately gone IMO, not sure if Monfries is one of these but Crameri supposedly is.

No, it was mentioned that because none have ever tested positive they will be free to play until their final hearing which could be a year away. Earl from the NRL got an infraction 12 months ago but has still not been charged with anything. He was stood down immediately because he tested positive, his ban will be backdated to last year

Our slim finals chance has evaporated with Jobe's injury far worse than first thought. Requires surgery and will miss 3 months

Depends on how long the players take to turn on the club.

The show cause notices were for the use of Thymosin. Players have escaped any punishment for the use of AOD-9604. 34 players received the notices across several clubs, would think this is Monfries, Gumbleton, Crameri etc. This could drag on for up to 2 years now

Incorrect the show cause notices was for only Thymosin. The players can still be handed infraction notices for the use of AOD-9604. If the players don't come up with a good enough excuse why they where taking it, we would see them suspended this year. The 2-3 years Watson was talking about is the tribunal case then more then likely the players appealing the case. I don't think too many players would bother appealing the sentence if it means they will miss 2-3 years of footy.

Despite what the media are trying to portray I seriously reckon they have little hard evidence. The show cause notices will list the breaches that ASADA think has been made. The players have 10 days to respond to the show cause notice allthough they can ask for an extension if required. The players have a chance to accept or deny the charges, ASADA then have to decide if the player is innocent or if they want to take it further. It would then be up to the ADRVP to list that person/s on the register and then they would advise the AFL of their findings. It is then up to the AFL to hand out infraction notices not ASADA

The AFL hands out the suspensions not ASADA. This will definately end up in the courts. Remember Dank was given a show cause notice a month ago and still hasnt replied. Id say the players will reply and co-operate but my understanding is that they will definately go to court to clear their names
On the AOD situation, im not sure where that stands but im confident that if ASADA were certain about it then infraction notices would of been issued months ago. Im 100% confident that nothing will come of it. The Thymosin im not so sure
