The top two sides from last week both got done in Round 10 with the indians loss enough to see eddies boys slip all the way down to fourth on the table. Valleys had a magnificent come from behind victory to defeat the ladder leaders in a close one by 18 points and Killer Wombats got the big scalp eddieslittleindians reasonably comfortably in the end. The big winner was FOOTYLEDGENS who managed a solid win against the Denver Crows despite getting little input from players such as Jaensch, Kennedy-Harris and Salem on the field.

While the top teams dudded it a bit other top eight opposition managed to collect the points with the Hippsy, destiny's uncles, Shark Week and red cans all recording solid wins. Teams that have done it less well this year but managed to collect the four points included cobras who are now even with the win loss ledger when the pre-season scoring prediction had them down as a cert to be relegated. Brown Boys made it two wins in three matches but still trail Big Al by two matches.

Teams that have done well in recent years, Toolman and Moneybrawl are in the doldrums and both could go down this season. Pels' Backyarders are playing up to their name at the moment and they look to have the spoon wrapped and Big Al has not impressed this season either. Even my pre-season premiership tip is on the wrong side of the top eight. According to the scoring, eddieslittleindians can't be beat, but on three occasions this season this is exactly what has happened. So this league is far from being a one horse race with only one other promotion spot up for offer.

There were a lot of very close matches in Divison II with the top two sides saluting by seven and fourteen points respectively. Division II giant eddieslittleindians also had to work hard for their win even though they scored a league high 2326 as the red cans proved to be difficult to open up.

Two teams that were taking it nice and easy while everyone else were sweating included Killer Wombats who are in brilliant form in recent weeks and Delicious who have battled all season and finally ended up in the top eight after much navel gazing and gnashing of teeth throughout the season so far. :D

Denver Crows and Brown Boys will probably tell me to get ****** again but you'd have to describe their wins this week as upsets, although I don't think they'll be all that upset that they won their matches. It was a massive win for Browny who started organising his finals plans weeks ago the cheeky bugger. Denver Crows are the more realistic finals chance but sorry boys I can't have it. No soup for you!

Meanwhile, the cobras unlikely winning streak has continued as he downed former power team Toolman who is having a fall from grace that would embarrass St Kilda. Is there anyone home? Anyone? Dale won't mind as he has won more matches this season than his past three in Division I when he was whipped more often than J Edgar Hoover.

Moneybrawl was another straggler to get a win and that was bad news for Big Al as well as Spud Factory who are starting to live up to the name. I reckon Moneybrawl is too good to go down and they'll get out of a jam with the two teams I mentioned really in the gun now. All to play for over the final six weeks.

i must be kissed on the dick with the draw at the moment. no offence to any of the following coaches, but last week i faced the bottom side, and in the next three weeks i face the other three of the bottom 4.... if i miss finals after that leg up i dont deserve to be a supercoach.

now watch me crash and burn after i have put the curse on myself....

Definitely helps if you can lucky with the draw. I'm ranked 13th here but in another comp that's ranked inside the top 500 I'm sitting fourth with 8 wins.

Cub has topped the table in Division II after FOOTYLEDGENS defeated the previous ladder leaders Jims TigerRoos. Both sides would be keen to avoid eddieslittleindians in the first week of the finals so it was a crucial win for the Cub. Cub's midfield has been one short all season but with the match of the day looming he decided to bring in Docker gun Nat Ffye into the midfield. It must have been a good move as the TigerRoos did the same thing! Fyfe's 143 was not a factor in the win in the end and now the LEDGENS lead the way after 12 games.

In these writeups it has been eddieslittleindians have scored a huge score yet again and while it is once again true, a couple of other sides did even better. red cans decided that they were going to hang around the top eight and they cranked out the top score in the league with a solid 2421. Destiny's uncles got back into the top eight as their 2413 smashed Moneybrawl and other sides to score well included Killer Wombats and Some Can't who kept their finals hopes alive with a big win over Shark Week.

Delicious fell out of the top eight after being given the Hippy Hippy shake and Get ****** REB ended the cobras winning run to keep the Denver Crows season alive for another week. In the other match Big Al scored an important victory over Toolman who are having their worst Hogg season ever and look ready for the drop.

Far out.

Zorko, Hanley and Simpson left me hanging this week.

The gap between best and worst for these 3 is frightening!

In a big scoring week you can sometimes pick which top sides aren't the genuine article and that is the conclusion I have made about FOOTYLEDGENS who came up short in an important match against Delicious. It might not have been a great weekend for Cyril but it certainly was for Valleys who beat the Cub and clambered back into the top eight.

There can be no such questions about new ladder eddieslittleindians who seem to be marching on towards the Division II title. I think it will be the indians and one other who go up so avoiding eddie in the finals is the road to Division I. Jims TigerRoos are in the box seat to achieve this after they hit back after their loss to FOOTYLEDGENS last week. Jimbo rooturned to some fine scoring form to sink Shark Week who have tumbled out of the eight after the loss.

Hips Don't Lie, red cans and suprisingly Moneybrawl also joined the big scorers list which makes me think that the Hippys and the cans are genuine contenders and that Moneybrawl has the capacity to avoid relegation. However, Spud Farm also scored well and were unluckily beaten so even though they have scoring power, they don't appear to have luck on their side and at 4-9 you will certainly need that. Toolman and Backyarders are montys for the drop and I reckon Browny is in trouble even if he tells me he is the best coach in the Hogg.

This time last week I mentioned that Browny reckoned he was the best coach in the Hogg and this week he proved that to be the case. Brown Boys scored the upset of the Hogg season in 2014 when he defeated the number one ranked team in the entire Hogg to keep his hopes of avoiding relegation alive in a massive boilover.

There were some other crucial results as well this week as Hips Don't Lie inflicted FOOTYLEDGENS' second straight loss to all but secure the double chance. Things are now looking dicey for the Cub as Killer Wombats and more impressively destiny's uncles having important wins to be only one game outside of double chance calculations.

In recent weeks Shark Week had appeared to be sliding and Delcious looked to be a team on the up but the Sharkys came away with the points in a high quality match up. Not for the first time this season Delicious were a bit unlucky to lose the match. This was a big loss for Delicious who have slumped to tenth even though they have outscored many of the teams above them on the ladder since matches began.

Some Can't are back in the eight after they disposed of Big Al in a low scoring contest. Big Al slipped into the relegation zone as Moneybrawl won yet again, this time over top eight opposition red cans who are once again mid table. Despite Browny's big win, they remain in the relegation zone because Spud Factory managed to collect the points in a percentage booster over Backyarders who will be relegated to Division III next season.

The next three weeks should be a good finish to the year with top eight and top four spots up for grabs and still three relegation slots to be avoided.

Moneybrawl's relegation fight has turned into a dramatic eleventh hour bid to make the top eight after they upset the leading scorer in the league, eddieslittleindians. The indians are top of Hogg Elite with just two losses but here in Divvy II they've racked up five losses now and current league leaders Jims TigerRoos could draw the short straw by copping him in the first week of the finals.

Hips Don't Lie are currently getting the job done and they moved into second spot on the ladder after they reeled in Shark Week who tumbled out of the top eight. There were a couple of crucial mid-table wins for Delicious, red cans, destiny's uncles and Killer Wombats with the Wombats and the Uncles now a sneaky chance of stealing a top four spot.

FOOTYLEDGENS ended a two game losing streak to sneak into third when they accounted for a trade barren SpudFactory and Brown Boys won another match to go a step closer to avoiding the drop. I'll go early here and predict that the current top eight all qualify (although I haven't sussed out the draw so not even an edumacated guess) and I reckon Spud Factory better watch out for Brown Boys who I am tipping have a bit more in the tank over the next two weeks.

It looks as though some coaches in Division II don't know how to read the script. Some Cant and Shark Week were supposed to drop out of contention this week after playing more highly rated opposition in Killer Wombats and FOOTYLEDGENS respectively. Nope! **** you REB we'll stick around thanks. Both sides had important victories and remain in the hunt for a finals place. Meanwhile, Spud Factory burnt all their trades months ago ;) so they were clearly headed for relegation as they had a crucial match to negotiate against Brown Boys who have recovered from a tardy start to the season. Wrong again Bucko Spuddy got the chocolates and they have now avoided the drop.

This league has been tough to call and with only one week until the finals nothing has changed. The top three teams look like they have done enough to retain the double chance with only FOOTYLEDGENS looking a bit wobbly five weeks from the end of the year. The LEDGENS play the struggling cobras next week so I would expect Cub to collect a big win against his uncle and finish in the top four.

The battle for the eight is going to be closely fought. The teams on ten wins have a handy percentage buffer over Shark Week and Some Can't which leaves Delicious the side that has to look over their shoulder in the last round. It's going to be tough for Some Can't as they face the inform red cans in the last round. The cans have been scoring very well in recent weeks and I expect them to knock out the Cants next week. Shark Week faces an easier match in Spud Factory who won't have anything to play for next week now that they have saved their skins this week. The crucial match is between Delicous and destiny's uncles. The Uncles are safe with their percentage so if Valleys gets the win against destiny's uncles then it's bye bye Cants and Sharkies. If Delicious gets done then I reckon Shark Week can snaffle that last spot in the finals.

The relegation battle is still not over even though Spud Factory has snuck clear. The cobras are on a horrendous losing streak and couldn't beat time at the moment. They have a shocking percentage so if either Brown Boys or Big Al can win next week they could stage a miraculous escape. The inconsistent Brown Boys face Moneybrawl this week and the brawlers have been in fine form in the latter part of the season so a big ask for Browny to win that I reckon. However, he has beaten better sides than Moneybrawl so look out cobras who won't beat FOOTYLEDGENS. The other side in with a chance is Big Al who can hang on to his Balls if they can knock off Hips Don't Lie. I reckon it's either Browny or cobras as the Hippys will give Big Al the shake.

REB

Pretty happy with my week (or fortnight should I say), but it will all mean nothing if I get done next week.

Ready to give Divvy II a shake up if I get through!
