Anyway, I guess anything Sturt can do to get people through the gate to watch the game is good for them. They need the money as much as anyone and a bit of controversy wont hurt.

Im guessing that was the motivation rather than a political protest as such.

The only pity is that it's taken so long for Sturt to make a statement, however small, against the Plastic Powerpies. Hope they make a similar statement on the weekend, when I'll be making my own small statement by doing a spot of gardening

Absolutely, if they wanted to make any sort of relevant protest they would have voted no.

Yeah I mean what options do they have. Hang on they could keep on spending money like a p*ssed sailor and then ask for handout after handout. Seems to work for some.

That's correct! When business goes bust & receivers are brought in, no one gets paid.
Oh wait a minute - PAFC sought advances on AFL Dividends in order to survive, didn't they?
No sign of the AFL Franchise Arm of the 'One Club' coming to their rescue then - it was the other 8 SANFL Clubs that gave them the money!

Chris Davies was allegedly quite upset. Maybe he should be more concerned about the inequity of television coverage and total loss of integrity in the competition. Lapdog.

Come on mate, the awesome telly coverage (we're paying for but don't mention that too often) is delivering unheard of sponsorship riches for the eight clubs. They've all got RSI from counting money apparently.
