Round 12 - Sturt v Port @ Envestra Park (Sat 28/6)

Postby Big Phil » Mon Jun 23, 2014 10:17 pm

The second, and last game, of week 1 in the split round...

Top of the table clash out at Unley should be a ripping contest...

Depending on AFL selections, the Double Blues should probably start favourites...

Sturt finally get a game on the box, as well...

I doubt any radio coverage, the tv game has not been covered on radio all season.

Really looking forward to this game, might even head over to Unley and check it out. If the weather forecast improves should be a great crowd!

Port will probably get a couple of players back, and I might reserve a tip until after selection. Either way this should be a close one.
No Surrender!

No, the radio stations have been advised they aren't allowed to call up against the Channel 7 broadcast...

12 rounds until Sturt get a TV game and we've had about 3 top 3 clashes in that time, go figure.
Hopefully $luttery will have the guts to show up, he should get a good reception.

Port are likely to get their best 3 players back in Logan, Mitchell and S.Gray possibly amongst others. Bloods got them at the right time, Sturt do not. Port to win if those AFL inclusions are made.

Logan will stay in the League side and I think you'll find that at least two will be kept out of the Sturt game as emergencies for the Showdown sunday.

Sturt will give this a very good crack and I'm confident their best is good enough to knock off the Peeeeeeear reserves.

They have no excuses as it's their away game at the Flogtress on Sunday......1600 @ Richmond last week....piss weak turnout by the Whorepies supporters/PowerPimps. My guess is a crowd of 2500-3000......2000+ Sturt supporters.

Why are people talking as if it's Port responsibility to provide the crowd for an away game?

Because the Crows promised an extra 14,000 each week.

4,000 at crows games and 10,000 at Port games.

So your franchise apparently has 50k members, they have no home game in either comp and only about 500 turn up to Unley.... what passion!
What flogs.
