I'm surprised no one mentioned the "upset".

although..given their recent ins..it's probably not all that surprising.

Big game for Pooraka and Hope Valley with the winner moving a game clear in 4th and away from the log jam below it for that 5th spot

I couldn't actually see the oval under all the water...

No junior training and no touch footy at all this week which will help it a bit, but with the amount of rain we've had it's going to be a slogfest in the mud on Saturday. The reserves will chew it up for the A grade just nicely no doubt.

It's in better condition than Glenunga's oval was on Saturday. A few of their lads said the council spent 300k "fixing" it up. Fair to say the council didn't do a very good job...

Lawd, if your oval is bad, I'm in for a shock when I rock up to ours tomorrow night.

Plenty of whispers beginning to get louder surrounding Salisbury West and their win a flag at all costs objective.. Could've done more damage than good is what I'm hearing from several sources.. Cracks beginning to appear internally.

They do say where there's smoke there's fire - but there's no money..

Yep. Players not being paid for the rest of the year. Apparently have to fund raise if they want to be paid? Is that legal? Could we have another kilburn type situation boiling up here?

Couldn't be further from the truth. Salisbury West Football Club have always fulfilled its obligation to contracted players. The club raises money through functions and with the draw this year we have 4 home games in the last 6 rounds. So all player money is raised from canteen and bar. The comment regarding another Kilburn is also wrong, Salisbury West Football Club has never failed in its obligation to players and coaches

Further from the truth? So they haven't been told their payments have been put on hold?

All players have been paid and are up to date. And there are no problems at Salisbury West Football Club. The club has never been stronger. Looking forward to the rest of the season. And after a massive win today, all players and officials are flying high

Lol you didn't answer his question.. Have players been told their payments are on hold? Did the club blow their budget? What influence have the recent recruits returning from Sedan had on the club and what impact on other players?

If everything is all good at Westies then why are all these rumours arising from out of the club? Clearly I'm not the only one who keeps hearing them.

If any if it is true, hope there aren't serious ramifications for Westies down the track, would be a shame to see another proud club brought to it's knees - a growing trend these days it seems :(

Double Lol, Yes the players have been told. The Sedan players have had no influence whatsoever on the budget. And the only impact on other players is that they are a top side and winning. Nobody complaining at Westies. One tight unit, getting stronger as the season goes on. I'm sure all clubs have their ups and downs in a season, not just westies

After seeing Salisbury West play today - I don't think the club has any issues. They are absolutely charging home and it's their premiership to lose now

Was a fair touch up they gave you. I see Scotty Mac had a day out as well.

In no defense to us because we were extremely poor, I don't think it's the last score line you'll see like this from them this year. Turned into a real dog fight to avoid relegation, looks like one of the promoted teams from last year will be tumbling straight back down. Will come down to the last game with Woodie South and Glenunga
