I said weeks ago Mannum's list is far too old. They rely on 35 year olds. I still think they'll be OK back end of the year but not premiers. I think our result would have to be the biggest shock I've had in a number of years!

Some pretty important games this wk for several teams, I know finals are still a while away but the way the results go this wk could potentially shape the ladder similar to how it will be at the end of the minor round.

Imps to beat mypo by 4 goals
Taliem to draw with jervois Bears to beat The Roos by 3 goals.

Not bad tipping there if ya dont mind me saying. I was told Imps had one of their best sides for the year on the park. Sunday knockout could well be Imps v Mannum the way it looks & from what I have seen in recent weeks, that's pretty appropriate

Yeah well tipped biff, good to see taliem up and about at the moment but I think they will well and truly get brought back to earth this coming game against you blokes.

A very good win by our boys yesterday in what was a real slog the oval was a mess at the end of the day, a very heavy track with mud ankle deep in numerous places. Hally apparently did a hammy in the 3rd so will miss a few I'd reckon. Bowen and Sheedy both missed injured in saying that the bears had several players missing aswell. But no doubt mannums missing players will get mentioned during the wk. I thought the umps umpired pretty well and to the conditions at hand. Massive game for the club this wk against imps.

I had to look twice at the ladder to see if my eyes were correct Imps out of the 4 and Tailem off the bottom you would've got 500 to 1 on that if you got told at the start of the year!

Cheers Grassy but I have a question for ya! Have you picked against the Bears ever?

That said, you will give the blues a touch up I reckon. Bears by 44 pts
Pretty confident we will stitch up Tailem but by less than 10 goal
Mannum will pump Jervois & all of a sudden will be near favourites for the flag

Been very quiet on here for most of this year. Coming into the home run for finals and the fight for top 3 is wide open, what's everyone's thoughts on how the season will pan out from here on in?

Certainly going to be a few interesting weeks Grassy. Its amazing how quiet it has been on here, funny what happens when Imps have an average year.

That said, its really the first time in a while that a team finishing 5th could do some damage come finals time. They are finally getting a full side & getting the two young blokes in from town will only help them more.

I cant see the ladder changing to much over the next 4 weeks but I reckon mypo may jump above mannum. Definitely A couple interesting games coming up and a lot could depend on if teams lose players down to the crows thru finals. I would hope that the players will stay loyal to there home clubs but if you know AFL clubs are watching you, it could pay of to play down there

Yep, Meninge are a good side and when they have their full list they are certainly hard to contain. I have thought since we last played them that they are the highest threat to us and it showed yesterday. Their spread once they got the ball from the back line was really good & our midfielders just didn't pick their men up well enough.

That said, it was probably a loss we needed to have before finals & we need to bounce back from that one to prove to ourselves that we are still the best team in the comp

Very good game of footy yesterday, hard gut running on the rebound was great by our boys, and Benbow was a very good target up fwd, we really needed the win to keep our top 3 aspirations alive. Looking forward to the return of Brunoli in the coming wks and Durdin who missed yesterday will be a handy inclusion for sure.
