Don't get me wrong, the league directors are just as bad. Just making the point that the Sanfl hierarchy put the AFL teams before the Sanfl every time.

After the Power Reserves accept the 2014 SANFL Cup which will have been gifted to them by John Olsen the SANFL Commission and the SIX traitor clubs.

I expect that in 2015 we will see our first 3 figure crowd in the SANFL.

Kudos to all WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!

RIP SANFL !

I know thats what im laughing at.
For these people its just a novelty, id expect crowds to get worse over the following years. Having reserves for ever and a day I can tell you most supporters of Vic clubs couldnt care less about Ressies thats why Ess v Coll attracts about 3k. I go to 5-10 games a year in Melbourne but in 30 years have only attended 5-10 Reserve games

Spot on Jim Yep in Melbourne the heart of Aussie rules with a population of what around 5 Million says it all.

No one gives a toss about AFL Reserves unless you are going to be gifted the 2014 SANFL Premiership Cup !!!!!!

SANFL scheduling is imho a separate argument, and you'll get no argument from me that at times this year it's been an absolute joke. Having a split round over the last two weeks has been ridiculous and a lost opportunity. Think that had more to do with the farce of a comp called the Foxtel Cup in this case than anything else though. Kill off that rubbish already!

A crowd 6% of membership at any other SANFL game would equate to a crowd of around 300-400.
Absolutely pathetic crowd numbers.
We wont have to hold our breath to long before crowds of that nature become common in the SANFL

So how many people show up to sanfl reserves? I'm sure it isn't more than 300-400

It was a SANFL reserves game was it??
Thats where they should be playing

That makes your statement sillier.

If those 2 teams played in the SANFL Reserves competition, what sort of thrashing would be handed out to the clubs they play against, 25 plus goal thumpings each match, would do irreparable damage to the SANFL. Whatever damage being done now can be repaired.

So that makes it ok for both AFL clubs to want something that **** over the SANFL? Stop abdicating all responsibility.

Really? I think they would do a hell of a lot less damage if confined to the reserves which no-one cares about.

Well, 300 are there at the start of the reserves v 2,000 for the league. I think copping floggings in the reserves is preferable to selling the league's integrity.

So to founding clubs struggle to get 2k through the gates, but port and crows get 6k...

As I said somewhere else, it is a good crowd.
Does it represent a success for the SANFL? In terms of the obvious, yes.

However, Booney, while it's a good crowd, do you think it should've been larger?

Not really, DW. Very few Adelaide fans attend their SANFL games and it was no different on Saturday. No surprise to see hardly any there.

6100, would have been lucky to be 400 Adelaide fans.

Anyway, it doesn't prove, disprove or otherwise the "success" of this years SANFL changes.

The spin doctors will tell us otherwise. They have to.
Just as many tell us the lack of Crows supporters at the game will say it further proves the problems behind the decision.

Let's just set one thing straight. Anyone who actually thought the SANFL Crows would pull any sort of crowd doesn't belong in any sort of meaningful debate.

If you brought their spin and bullshit when they sent their media bloke in here to "answer any questions" you're a muppet. I know you aren't DW, I know you didn't buy into that crap.....but every person on here who gives it "I knew they wouldn't get 4000..." can hardly be considered Nostradamus 2K14.

They were never, ever going to get any sort of support. Even if all their fans and members decided to go to an SANFL game it would probably be Adelaide v "the team they used to follow before the Crows" and not as a passionate AFC supporter.

So I am in noway surprised there was hardly any of them at Alberton on Saturday. The whole AFC set up in the SANFL is a farce. The system they are working under is shit. Some Neville Nobody was named to play for Norths reserves, McKernan is a late withdrawl with a runny nose and Neville goes from Norths reserves to SANFL League, not even for his club, in a matter of two hours.

Although, you cant blame them, how could anyone support that team. You don't even know the blokes who are playing in it!

Does the SANFL get a cut of the gate money or does it to to Port Adeliade?

Not on it's own but it does inform the debate i would've thought.

As you say, 400 Crows supporters there tops, no one has pretended there were any more there.
If you really think about that figure though, that is lamentable, bloody lamentable.
As you correctly say, they were never going to get many people to the games, that was just fanciful spin. Even so, it's pitiful what they do bring along, it's embarrassing how bad it is.

I may have missed it but I haven't seen 1 person post a comment about the game as a post-game commentary. That is 5 pages of people who are still angry about the current setup with about a month to go to finals.

This is not good for the comp!
