The bloke is operating with a 1980's operating system, he's not been able to upload any software updates and without any real support he's been left exposed to the modern world.

Channel 7, it's time to shut down BT and throw him away.

Ricciuto is very ordinary on tv and radio.
Had to laugh today when he was talking about the Brownlow and said that Pendlebury played well yesterday and would of got votes.
He obviously watched a differant game, wouldnt of been a Pie in the top 10 votes, Pendles couldnt get a kick yesterday

He also said on radio that one of his colleagues looked gay because of how he dressed.

That represents a chance he had to learn and didn't. That makes this last one even worse.

Even worse was his apology. He made it sound like calling Harry a poof was wrong because he isn't one. Basically still insinuated that the language was ok but just calling him that was the stuff up.

I think it's time we get some fresh blood doing the play by play in tv

I use to like Eddie Everywheres commentary & sharp wit but am changing my opinion of him, with his poor attitude on his FOX footy show after the last couple of collingwood games on Sunday nights.
The last 2 sundays he has gone on straight after Collingwood losses to Essendon & then the crows & it was like the world had ended.

Dermott tries hard to perk him up but after the essendon loss Eddie was really average when he i/v'd Hibberd of the Bombers.
Eddies bottom lip might be dragging along the floor again on Sunday night if Port beat the Pies in the late sunday game again!

I think you mean when Port beat the Pies. Wouldnt be surprised if Eddie doesnt rock up for the show. Although he may use it as a platform to push for the AFL to compensate them for another poor time slot.

I love watching Eddie on the Ed and Derm show after a(nother) loss... you are just waiting for him to either open up on a massive tirade about equalization, academies, COLA etc etc or to just burst into tears...

I reckon the tears are a near certainty if they lose this weekend...

(even as a Carlton fan, I really like Ed, love his passion and what he has been able to do for the Pies, but it's still good to see him having a sook as well )

I understand where people are coming from, regarding Eddie and his COI.
However, I just don't see the difference between him and the remainder of the commentators who are involved in AFL boards, or have significant involvement at other clubs - and there are plenty.
He's the highest profile.

Eddie pushes the Collingwood agenda with his massive media profile at every opportunity.
James Brayshaw is a bit the same.
Unfortunately they get up on their soapbox and try to gain influence that way.

I don't like it, but they're well within their rights to do it.

I gotta admit, I love Eddie and what he's done for our club.
Heck, I've worn the nickname Eddie, on occasion.
However, there are times when I wish he'd shut his mouth.

True but what he has done for the club is great. Yes needs to shut hus hole but most clubs would love him in their camp.

Maguire is many things. What he is, at the root of it all is us. He is a supporter who made it. Whether he is the Collingwood President, The TV Host or the legal Guardian of Toovey's kids he is a passionate Collingwood supporter.

I had no problem with Ed on his show after the Crows loss. He appeared gutted because he was gutted. On the whole his Presidency has been good for the Pies but the coaching succession plan looks like it might have been a bad move by Ed. But then again, in three years it could be seen as a stroke of genius.

In a world full of Robots and Morons Eddie is neither of these.

The problem I think is when he uses his profile to push his agenda in ways that would be available or acceptable to other presidents and/or journalists.

For instance waxing lyrical about collingwood and Carlton deserving compensation because they actually had to play on a Sunday afternoon for once.

Those ways are available to other presidents/journalists. Kennett has no problem getting his equally outlandish comments out there. Neither did John Elliot.

As for the 'compensation', he wasn't genuine. That was just a way of getting a topic on the agenda and the AFL to listen. I wouldn't have thought he genuinely meant for compensation. He's clever like that.
