Woody is just a kid still, and has obviously in the past been allowed to do as he pleases and get away with it from the club. He needs a firm hard and support/guidance from the club to iron out those faults. Can play football, once he manages to control the other crap he will become a better player again.

Yes he's still a kid but was only one punch away from seeing his club exiled forever and he was oh so close.

I was more interested in watching 3 of his teammates escort him to the interchange bench and make sure he went from the ground. All credit to his mates. :)
Was actually lucky he got his arse handed to him and wasn't really able to throw anything decent. Also lucky the ump didn't see the cheeky elbow that started it.

And what's with your signature!?! You love my myths Yanky!

Hang on, he actually did start a blue with dirty play......

Woodward is a serious loose cannon.. Saw it both games last year, and got suspended earlier this season, and now almost cost his club further penalties merely weeks after the club copped 9 premiership point loss due to a brain fade.. Im all for second chances and benefit of the doubt, but gee whiz with the club so perilously (think thats a word) close to being ousted from the league, he acts like that in a game that they are smashing a side in.. Surely cut ya losses CU and make him someone elses problem

Big congratulations to this player he did not resort to striking, poo smearing or spitting, or is that only because his team mates removed him??

I'm not saying the club isn't working to improve, just that to call them 'disciplined' is a obviously a load of rubbish. FFS, how many sides had to remove a player, with the aid of a number of team mates, because he can't control his anger and risk the consequences????

Maybe PG, youre just a massive douche bag.

I can confirm he is

Yeah kind of, was yappy all day, we yapped back, he threw a cheeky elbow, nothing too serious or nasty, but one of our players didn't take kindly and there was a blue, which erm, he lost. It was that last blue that the ump saw and he would have cost his club seriously if he had of thrown anything which connected or hurt.

Anyway, doesn't matter, thought the coach was fantastic in his demeanour and words. Although both Yanky and I noted Woodward was at the back of the huddle and not really listening.

Play on.

Well done.

Excellent example of how Central United have taking positive steps forward this year, and why those douche bags who dont play them or know better shouldn't jump in and bag the club on their misdemeanours or think they know about their culture and question when other clubs say they've been more disciplined etc.

..yes Jetters i'm looking at you ;)

Watched the Rossies v Lockleys game on Saturday and it seemed to be a fair gap between the two sides.

Rossies had marking options all over the ground and managed to snuff out any run the much younger Lockleys side looked to generate.

Rossies kicked to the Eastern End ;) in the first quarter with a breeze that might have added 2-3 goals, they didn't use the ball all that well going forward and wasted some opportunities. They then held Lockleys with the wind to lead at half time and kicked away after the major break.

Lockleys didn't use the ball well going either way but really struggled to move the ball West into the breeze. Rossies, on the other hand, scored at both ends of the ground.

One thing I did notice ( and as a local who see's the oval a lot but doesn't really look at it - if you know what I mean ) is the poor condition of the oval at the clubroom end. Obviously the bulk of training would be done at that end, but it was bare, no grass and looked rock hard*.

All in all, was a pretty good game, but if 4th > 5th is that big a gap I couldn't see Locks going far into finals if that game was true to form.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

1. You play the way you train.
2. Pre-seasons are really important in the lower divisions of amateur football.

4. Every club pays players.
5. Getting to a game early allows for a superior preparation.
6. Business slacks make you a more professional and disciplined club.
7. Strapping does anything, ever.
8. Outside players are soft.
9. Going up a division attracts better quality players and people.
Hahaha good times.

I would like to add into morell's Football Myth TM #10

But it would corrupt the sanctity and legacy of morell's Football Myths TM. Which are specifically and solely designed for local and amateur football lore and culture, not interweb flame wars.

I don't have anything I need to respond to. I don't think anyone has disagreed with what I've said, just that they don't like hearing it. If I was the CU coach who probably is doing a lot of work to fix the situation I wouldn't like hearing it either, doesn't make it any less true.

Why am I commenting? Because there is too much bullshit Div 6/lower division goodwill between you lot and it makes me just a little bit nauseous and what a boring place this would be if someone didn't call you on said bullshit.
