If Adelaide Crows miss the eight it will be a travesty.
Scored 2000 more than most teams in the comp.
Luck of the draw I guess, but really should be in the top four.

The blockbuster match of the season for Division IV turned into a fizzer as Duromine Dependent put in a shocker over the past fortnight. Perhaps ASADA are on to the situation at last and the Dependent ones were raided and the PEDs were off the menu against the Willies. Whatever it was, Duromine Dependent put in a decidedly Division VI performance as the wheels well and truly fell off.

I'm a bit surprised that my write up has got here before Daisy has checked in because the Duds racked up an impressive 2605 to smash Shane Crawford. On yer Bike Crawf! The Adelaide Crows had a big weekend in Divvy IV as well as the AFL as they accounted for fellow top eight contenders FNQ Trotters in fine style. The Crows' big win sees them repace the Trotters in the top eight.

The Wigg Brothers somehow see themselves in eighth spot and they will face DA HEAT for that last spot in the eight next week. In the relegation battle the Nutkickers threw themselves a lifeline when they defeated Holland's Hero's but the percentage gap between the two sides still seems a bit too large for TSG to bridge so their win this week could be to no avail.

Well Grasshopper's Scros Swimmers managed to hang onto a spot in the 8 with FNQ Trotters failing to get the choccies, the downside is they face Adelaide Crows for the second week in a row. Didnt get close to them this week can he turn it around next week?

Match ups are
Duromine Dependent v Zed Force, flip of the coin this one, think Zed might get up. these 2 are ranked 2nd and 3rd for most points
The Willies v Daisys Duds. Willies will win this easy the Duds are now hamstrung and tradeless.
Adelaide Crows v Scros Swimmers Crows for mine they are the highest scoring team in the league.
The Wigg Brothers v Hairy Hobbits. Another toss of the coin, il tip the Hobbits

It was not a good week in SuperCoach for my relations as my Mum and my lad missed the finals in what turned out to be a very competitive Division IV this season. Last year Divvy IV had some of the top coaches in the Hogg but the quality dropped away fairly sharply. This season Divvy IV still has some of the best teams in the Hogg but unlike last year this Divvy bats deep.

FNQ Trotters and DA HEAT were not disgraced but were beaten by better sides when the push came to the shove. DA HEAT's 2307 wasn't a bad score but it was not in the same ballpark as the Wigg Brothers who secured their finals place with a solid 2497. Second ranked The Willies shut the door on the FNQ Trotters who fell over a hundred short which was a good result for Scros Swimmers.

A couple of teams have been on withering unbeaten runs with Daisys Duds leading the way. I reckon Daisy will need a name change for sure after his side racked up their 12th straight win. Their last loss was way back in Round 5 against the Minor Premier Duromine Dependent. Daisy is already playing the underdog card but they'll put up a strong showing against The Willies next week.

Scros Swimmers were also on a late season tear but that came to an abrupt halt against the sheer scoring power of the Adelaide Crows. Only Hondo is outscoring the Crows so far this year in the entire Hogg so the Crows just shouldn't be losing down here but somehow they missed the double chance. One more slip up and their flag march will be over.

The top four get promoted so the winners of next week's Qualifying Final are automatically promoted to Division III. Remember lads that a lot of teams pull out of the Hogg each year so if you get done in your final keep looking for points because that what determines who goes up after the automatic promotions are handed out.

The teams in Red have all been relegated and these sides have been in the drop zone for some time. Hollands Heros were under the gun but they cleaned up elephants to stay up for another year.

I predict that at least six maybe seven of the teams in Division IV will be playing in higher Divisions next year. Last year Ben Rolfsbergers were playing in Division IV and they played Division I this year and are looking good for Hogg Premier in 2015. Points are more important now than ever before.

Good luck to all finalists.

Well atleast I'm in the finals. Gonna take a bit of effort to win the flag from here, but have been scoring pretty well all season so I guess I am a chance and have 4 trades left so can upgrade a couple of underperformers or covering injuries

Finals Week 1 Results

Qualifying Finals

Duromine Dependent 2573
ZedForce 2430

The Willies 2443
Daisy's Duds 2429

Elimination Finals

Adelaide Crows 2635
Scros Swimmers 2399

Wigg Brothers 2472
hairy Hobbits 2386

The finals series in Divvy IV has started off with a bang with the hairy Hobbits 2386 the lowest score of the eight combatants. It's the end of the road for the Hobbits and Scros Swimmers who did it well but not well enough to remotely trouble the best team in the Hogg this year, the Adelaide Crows. The Crows are scoring 2600's for fun and they did it twice to Grasshopper in the last two weeks of the Scros Season. I'm tipping that the Swimmers won't be keen to play the Crows again next season. :D

Somehow though, the mighty Crows didn't even snaffle the double chance such is the competitive nature of the top end of this league. The two teams that won automatic promotion in 2015 are the top two sides, Duromine Dependent and The Willies. Both of these sides were mid table units last season and did nothing to suggest that they would have the season they have enjoyed this year. Congratulations to both coaches on your promotion.

In the Semi Finals it seems almost an injustice that one of the top two scoring teams in the league will be out after the Crows vs. ZedForce match. In all likelihood both will be promoted when duddy teams in Divvy II or III pull the pin. The other Semi is between Daisy's Duds and the Wigg Brothers. The Wiggs outscored Daisy last week and it would be a cruel end to a fine season for Daisy if he had a string of wins and then went out in straight sets - I'd rather the Hawks did that. ;) Again, both sides will probably end up going up. Daisy had several teams 'jump the queue' on him this year but his improved scoring this season gives him a real chance. Beat Wiggy and you're in!

The game with Scros was closer than the end result suggest as he changed from Rocky C to Dangerfield C to try and make up some points.

But very happy to move on to a huge game this week, should be a cracker. Will be making a trade with Dahlhaus going out and McGlynn or Gray coming in.

Semi Finals Results

ZedForce 2487
Adelaide Crows 2430

Daisys Duds 2315
Wigg Brothers 2187

ZedForce carded a sensational victory against the high scoring Adelaide Crows combination that sent the top scorer in the Hogg spiraling out of the finals. It was a typically high standard match and RKJ was the unlucky coach who ended up on the losing side. In the other Semi Daisys Duds got the job done against the Wigg Brothers who copped the brunt of the SuperCoach carnage as they recorded a much lower score than they normally do.

These results mean that ZedForce and Daisys Duds have earnt automatic promotion into Hogg Division III next season which is quite an achievement given the high standard of the premiership contenders in this league. All is not lost for the Crows or Wiggy though as their high scoring ways will have them in line for promotion to higher grades...unless not one Hogg coach drops out of Premier, Divvy I,II and III.

The winners of next week's Preliminary Final will represent Division IV in the 2015 Hogg Champions League. Daisy faces the might of league leader Duromine Dependent in what will be a massive challenge for the Duds. The other Prelim sees ZedForce up against The Willies and I'm sure brod will be worried about the sheer scoring power of Zed.

There are players going down like ninepins but it if all sides play to form I'd expect Duromine Dependent and ZedForce to win through to the Grand Final but you wouldn't want to have too many of Steve Johnson, Dane Beams, Josh Kennedy, Nat Ffye or Brent Harvey in your team.
