Div 6 more likely and if they were serious about saving the club that's what they would do, but with SHOC, hello back in Div2. :D

Great effort by the Farmers to finish in 3rd spot, it was only 2 years ago this club was the laughing stock getting thumped week in week out, took one on the chin and went down to Div7 and won a flag and to back it up this year by sitting top for most of the season and eventually finish in 3rd is a massive achievement, gained a lot of respect I think and are heading in the right direction..

Correct.
Fantastic effort by a lot of people to their heads in and get on with job.
It's been great to watch in the last couple of seasons but more so this season to be able to consolidate.
Some descent luck in the finals could see the Farms progress.
Well done to all so far.

yep sure sacred heart come take over our club - have the lot, take the oval take the rooms, we'll just move out - edwardstown no more

anyways i figure when mitchell park and flinders uni merge to become the Tonsley Crabby Lions, one clubs facilities will be vacant, and sacred heart can gank theirs :D

I am led to believe SHOC need a facility next year and Towns are cactus, not to mention that Towns have recruited not only players but some very intelligent people over the years from SHOC and maybe the karma bus has come around. From SHOC's point of view they get 2 more teams and 6 extra junior teams currently in MSJFL. Mitchell Park sports and social club have a council lease until 2017 and we intend to use full advantage of it Crabs or not. 2016 is also when the commencement of our new $2million complex is starting and we are more than keen to be there when it is completed. :D

Edwardstown do not have any juniors in MSJFL anymore, that is a separate club. Unless you are talking about a 3 way merge.

Does that mean 1st week of finals like this?

Qualifying at West Croydon
A - West Croydon V Ingle Farm
B - Lockleys V Ingle Farm
C - Lockleys V Trinity OS

Elimination at Rosewater
A - Rosewater V Fitzroy
B - West Croydon V Mawson Lakes
C - Rosewater V Mawson Lakes

I suppose another option could be:

Qualifying/Elim at West Croydon
A - West Croydon V Ingle Farm
B - West Croydon V Mawson Lakes

Elimination at Rosewater
A - Rosewater V Fitzroy
C - Rosewater V Mawson Lakes

Qualifying at Lockleys
B - Lockleys V Ingle Farm
C - Lockleys V Trinity OS

I'd be surprised if they would split up West Croydons two sides.
That looks about right I reckon.

Trouble is it splits up IF and ML which depending on the timing could have them playing at the same time. eg ML at Rosewater and ML at West Croydon both playing at 12.15.

There's always these dilemmas.
Might just have to switch B and C start times at a venue.
Like I said I reckon they will keep W/C together.
Their As have earn't the home final and that takes precedence to make other games being shuffled around to suit, including playing times for different grades.

Correct. If the ovals and clubs are up for it, I reckon West Croydon and Rosewater would jump at the opportunity of hosting a triple header final which keeps all clubs bar West Croydon B grade at the same venue as their other grades. And Fortunately there isn't a big travel gap between Rosewater and West Croydon

There is nothing surer IMO than West Croydon As (v IF) & Bs (v ML) playing at home.

Rosewater As V Fitzroy and IF Bs v Lockleys at Rosewater.

If the Cs are triple headers, Rosewater v ML at home and Lockleys v TOS at West Croydon.

Lockleys v Ingle Farm at Lockleys in the B grade followed by Lockleys v TOS C4 game.

West Croydon home in the A & B grade.
Rosewater home in A & C grade

What I learnt yesterday is Brincat is the best ruckman in Div 6, he just works so hard up and back and when he rests up forward he becomes a dangerous goalscorer and not to mention his ability to take absolute hangers. Horsell is quality and works really hard too and very unselfish, he must have had 10 goal assists when he could have looked greedy and Mark Demasi is pure A grade, great hands and body work and rarely misses. The rest of the team are just structured and work for each other all over the ground. They are going to be very hard to topple if they can overcome playing the bottom side and then have the week off. Probably not the best way to go in to finals but at least they will be fit and healthy.

Good luck to all the teams playing finals, it's a special time of the season to still be alive.

From and outsider looking in you may as well make blackfries certainties to win the flag, they are not so certain.

From an insider looking in, no such thing as a certainty. They have a weakness but that's for the other 4 finals teams to work out. :D
