footy chick im not sure why the facebook comment was removed considering its the football director talking smack and at the end of the day bird of prey you were a div 1 club paying players to play football so dont get offended when people leave in todays society money is the way of life

we play football because we like to play it and its a reward to get paid to play but a joker of a football director to be butt hurt and come out with personal attacks he needs to look at him self the club hired him to be better then that

Because any potential riffs within people at clubs don't need to be aired like dirty laundry on any forum, let alone this one.

Funny how you're happy to sling shit upon other clubs but haven't mentioned your clubs most recent indiscretion.

I also told you not to post in on the boards. If you weren't already going on holiday, I"d give you one :?

I very much doubt that will happen, of course. But it can.

Salisbury North are in a unique (although I haven't done any research) situation where a bad enough loss can see us relegated, and a win (with three other results going our way) can see us pinch fifth spot. In order for the latter to happen, we need:

- Portland losing to Henley,
- Port District losing to Goodwood Saints, and
- Adelaide Uni losing to Rostrevor OC.

However, if either Adelaide Uni or Port District draw their games, Salisbury North has to thump SPOC and hope Henley does the same to Portland. In any case, if Portland wins, fifth spot is sewn up.

did the hawks really blow a 5 goal 3 quarter time lead ?

In 2011, HV played Woodville South for a finals berth, with an unlikely turn of events seeing the loser get relegated.

Sure enough- the upsets happened and WS were sent back to D6 and we played finals footy.

Footy can throw up the most unusual of results. Hopefully for SN, results go their way enough to stay up, as being a mere point away from a flag, to D2, 2 years later, would be a tough pill to swallow.

Meanwhile, Goodwood have the flag to lose. What a mighty football club they have been since 2004.

5 Portland 17 7 10 0 0 1278 1803 41.48 14
6 Port District 17 6 10 1 0 1352 1420 48.77 13
7 Adelaide University 17 6 10 1 0 1235 1442 46.13 13
8 Salisbury North 17 6 11 0 0 1474 1639 47.35 12
9 Gaza 17 5 12 0 0 1295 1654 43.91 10

it would take a miracle for Sals North to get relegated looking at their percentage compared to gazas

There's roughly a 200 point differential, I think. It's very unlikely to happen though, of course.

Salisbury north will play finals. And that's after winning 2 of their final 12 games. Seems crazy. And with a couple of inclusions could well knock of gullies

Beware of rostrevor on the large ground of thebby. Because they don't have a lot of height and bigger bodies, that'll play into their hands if they make the GF.
Gullies have the potential to give goodies a run for their money on the smaller grounds, but will find it a lot harder on the large grounds. Their hitting form at the right time though.
Henley are a decent side, but won't make it to the prelim.
SN to get knocked out first week of the finals. Their best side with some form behind them is good enough for top 3, but won't get there.

So my prediction, rostrevor to cause a huge upset over goodies in the GF (if TTG don't cause an upset and knock off rocs in the prelim). Although the results between rocs and goodies this year suggest I may be crazy in thinking that.

I wasn't aware of their 90's history, Zed. That makes Goodwood's run even more remarkable!

the reserves run of grand final appearances during the last 25 years is incredible as well..quite likely this year they will get 3 flags plus a possible back to back u/18 flag..
