So assuming the top 2 sides after the minor round from 6 and 7 managed to go up, 6 next year would look like:

Trinity OS
Brahma Lodge
Ingle Farm
Rosewater
Fitzroy
Lockleys
Mawson Lakes
Central United
Smithfield
Houghton

Lose the two long trips (Angle Vale and Mitchell Park) but gain more trips out norf (Smithfield, TOS, Brahma, CU) :(

Could it be the start of a Northern Districts football comp ?? ;)

lets not forget boys theres a few byes thatll need to be slotted into divisions 2 down to 6 to ensure mitchell park, angle vale and north pines can remain affiliated to the saafl :)

oh and chuck edwardstown & possibly marion in there too

so 65 clubs means 5 byes required for 70 placements divided into 7 divisions, so only div 3 down will have byes, get more clubs, less byes required

flinders uni, wingfield maybe = 67 clubs, therefore only 3 byes required

chuck adelaide uni in there = 68 clubs so only 2 byes required

What's the story with all the clearances from Flinders Uni to the Kangaroo Island League?

Who's your source because I'd sack them? 7 is a long way off of 3! One's for a 19 year old in his first ever year of footy, one for bloke who went to the World Cup and missed a heap of games and the other is for a guy who's played 5 & 5 so we thought we'd do the right thing and apply for a permit therefore allowing the SAAFL to make the decision. If you have any other questions, just ask me as we don't have anything to hide.

@giffo care to change your bullshit story? :D

@Arch44, instead of sacking your source as giffo suggested, perhaps give them a pay rise... and thanks for the suggestion it may be worth looking into... 3 permits lodged, 2 revoked as of today ;)

If he's good enough to play more A grade than B grade then that's one of the worst excuses i've ever head!

But played the last 5 rounds in the A grade

Yep no issue with the one for Gatis, you're fortunate he missed past couple of games - may have played A grade and he would then be out too!

Odd timing I suppose but they're just like any other clearance, those boys will be playing on the island next year. Good luck to them! Good lads all.

Easiest solution to all of this- no permits for anybody in any division/gradee, have a cut and dried >50% of games played in that division to qualify, but whilst the option is their will take it as I expect many other times will take, especially some sides with a C grade still competing but no A's & B's.

Easiest solution is to put the correct information on the permit form

I dare say there would be plenty of clubs out there looking to exploit the permit system - and cant blame them if they can get away with it.

I thought the window for clearances closed in July and wasn't reopened until the next year? :?
