Will your Crow be Gone CD work on Australian crows or is it just for a particular breed or location?
Our Crow be Gone CD has been extremely successful around the world with American Crows, Australian Crows, Australian Ravens, Carrion Crows, Fish Crows, Hooded Crows, Little Crows, Ravens, Little Ravens, Rooks, Jackdaws and Magpies.

Get ready for three figure crowds if the insanity being suggested here ever actually came off! Would create multiple meaningless games. Port supporters certainly would not bother with the SANFL. Would be a farce that nobody would want to watch. Huge losses would be made on the games involving Adelaide and Port Adelaide. Thankfully, I very strongly suspect that the 8 SANFL clubs have far more common sense than to engage in such total insanity.

Rubbish, no guatantee crowd figures wont drop to 3 figures anyway. This year has been a bit of a novelty but id guarantee crowds will start dropping off over the next few years if AFL reserves sides win flags. With the leg ups they get its only a matter of time.
Do think the average supporters will continue to rock each week against sides that they have almost no hope of beating?
Ive had to accept that they are here for good now but rules have to be tightened to prevent them becoming too powerful

Since when do they have no hope of beating the sides? Norwood just spanked the crows

Unfortunately the SANFL comp is now decided by the amount of injuries, and attitude of the AFL teams.

Mainly talking about Port ATM but the Crows will be pushing for rule changes to allow them the same deal as Port.
Under this current system clubs have to pray for injuries to the two AFL sides so that the SANFL sides are weakened.
Id say people would be happier if Port operated under the same conditions as the Crows

The 2014 season no AFL in the SANFL whinge thread

Port are moving towards the same as the crows aren't they? Both of them having ammos teams for their topups. I thought this was almost certain?

No
Port are not willing to let Summerton, Krakouer etc go.
A lot fairer system for both would be that ALL top up players must be u21 and have not played at any state league level

The 2014 season no AFL in the SANFL whinge thread

Postby bennymacca » Sat Aug 23, 2014 9:40 pm

Well summerton is similar to callinan. Got no issue with one player.

You won't find many u21 that have never been in the sanfl system at any time.

I think the crows current model with an academy side for topups instead of getting them from anywhere (ie uni) would work ok.

Shouldnt have any mature age recruits.
They are grown men not babies dont see why they need a leadership player as such.
And Port have more than player with decent SANFL experience.
As for the u21 bit, restrict it so that you must of been out of a state league system for 2 years that way it would stop the 2 sides pinching current SANFL players

In the interview of Di Uilio in the paper today, after being asked how to get young fans to identify with an Sanfl club, his reply includes: 'Look at any school ground and there always are AFL jumpers. So we have to emphasise our point of difference.'

All he can say is basically that they made an enormous error with respect to recruiting new fans by letting in the reserves. The irony being that this was made I think very obvious to all the league directors.

No not needed, you only need 15 top up players as port have had this year, the one's that don't play can go back to the competition they came from, they are only top up players, not a team, just required to fill spots while there afl side has injuries, they wanted to have all there afl players play together in a side, they have that now, anyone that whinges and wants more can go and get f*cked.

100% Exactly spot on if they complain as we all know they will maybe u/23 but no leadership player is needed, takes out the option for any team bending the rules to get exceptions like they have now, hope the SANFL clubs don't except anything less.

only worry i have about imposing age restrictions is that it will be one step closer to the SANFL comp have league wide age restrictions and become an under 23 AFL development comp.

Just faark them off completely!

You're wrong. Sluttery is similar to Callinan as their over 27(?) year old player that doesn't have to come under the $400/game payment. They tried to weasel around the rules at the start of the season and use it for $ommerton as Sluttery is working for PAFC.
And this is my point, they are already trying to cheat the rules, and are, so no matter what checks and balances they put in place it will be cheated and the SANFL have to police it.
As for the crowds dropping if they aren't allowed to play finals, it's not like Adelaide supporters are going and Ports crowds aren't that great either. So big ******* deal! **** them off!

What's the point of limiting them to U21 players etc etc when they can field a whole team of f***ing AFL players?
Seriously.

Just keep applying the dud player policy at Port with Butcher on their list should help to equalise things.

ok, fair enough. not entirely over all of the port rules, they seem confusing. getting both port and the crows operating under exactly the same rules seems to be would eliminate a lot of the concerns here. not all of them obviously, there are people here that are going to be against it no matter what, but it would go some way to making it more even

Normally when the bottom team beats the top team in the last minor round we'd be discussing it at length. Considering it was a mickey mouse game when even the Power Reserves coach comes out and says results dont matter noone really battered an eyelid.
