The concensus seems to be there are too many Vic teams in the comp and some of them are financially draining on the AFL. Clubs need to survive on their own or they get removed - like Fitzroy.

All good. Point I was trying to make was I don't think getting rid of teams is an option because I don't think they will ever want less games on TV.

I dont think getting rid of teams is an option the AFL will take, but a 12 team comp is the best fit for a fair draw and keeping a 22 round competition.

They would more likely go to 20 teams and cut the season to 19 rounds imo. Canberra and tassie. But both not gonna happen.
