Pretty quiet on here considering it's finals time!
Thoughts on games this week?
Can Lofty go through undefeated in both grades? I think it's a big possibility. The only thing against them will be the worry of getting in the GF and then losing it.
Could Kersbrook go out in straight sets? I think they'll bounce back this week - look out Maccy!
A's - Mt Lofty over Nairne by 31-40
B's - Mt Lofty over Kersbrook by 21-30
A's - Kersbrook over Maccy 41-50
B's - Birdwood over Meadows 1-10

And I think the medal winner will be Sam Miles by about 10 votes. Luke Harrowfield and Matt Gardiner could be up there as well.
In the B's I think Nath Pearce could be a good chance as well as Mash Coad and Strout from Nairne.

Whisper is maccy is quietly confident about knocking off the brookers - can anyone confirm any key players missing from Kersbrook due to injuries last Saturday?

I would hope that Maccy would be quite openly confident going in to a final! Especially as it was a tight game in the last round of the season.

It should be a cracker at Kersbrook tomorrow- big deck in great condition and perfect weather! The conditions should suit both Lofty and Nairne so I reckon you will see both at their very best.

I believe Paul James dislocated his shoulder last week but not sure if he's playing this week. Doubtful I would think. Also had another do a hammy but not sure who.

Any one confirm that in the Kersbrook vs Nairne Senior Colts final Nairne played someone who had played for Sturt the night before so despite winning will be disqualified? Geez hate to be the one who stuffed the paperwork on that one

everybody's talking about it, at Lobethal we were well aware of the rule as we have U18's players up and back with a couple having played A grade recently, having now played in the Redlegs finals we always knew they couldn't play for us now, staggered that didn't get picked up at the Rams.

Hearing a phone call was made between 2 northern clubs regarding possible merger.

There's real concern that there are too many clubs in the northern area and many will merge. This would surely spell the end of Country division as we know it

I thought it was going to be Torrens valley & Birdwood. Gum & Kersbrook should also look at a merger IMO.

As: Mt Lofty v Nairne. The devils will win.
Bs: Mt Lofty v Kersbrook
SC: Mt Lofty v Meadows
JC: Meadows v Hahndorf
13s: Mt Lofty v Nairne

Fair to say Mt Lofty have been too strong for Div 2.

fair call saintal MtLofty have been a lot stronger club than what Echunga were the year before. From what I have seen Mt Lofty have been as strong as Echunga were in A grade in 2013 and the rest of the grades are far superior.

Hats off to Lofty.... after the initial shock of being demoted, and the farce that followed in them trying to remain in central, they appear to have done everything in their power to return to the top flight in 2015.
