Us Eagles folk felt the same at the end of the 2010 Preliminary Final! (And like a bazillion Grand Finals) :)

I can't mention his name (I'll throw my phone at the tv) ... But the nameless one who kicked the final goal in the 96 preliminary still haunts me. Look at what happened in 97! On that, look at the 2010 preliminary and 2011 premiers

Look at what happened after Torrens lost the prelim in '54, only another 36 years before they merged without having won another flag!

OK. After 3 hours of not talking , I finally thought hey that's enough sulking for a grown man and told the missus I was going to the shop.

I want to say thanks to the Panthers for a great ride this season. I went to most home games and the odd away game. Plus all 3 finals.
Most games I went with the "Old Man", who was 16 the last time South won the flag .
So it's his fault I ended up following a team that I have never seen in a Grand Final.

I thought I better text mum to see if he was ok , as at the final siren he looked liked someone had stolen his last dollar.

Mum's text " He said he is jacked off cos they played well and got pipped at the post by imports. He has followed them for a long time. He is eating chocolate and he seldom does" ( diabetic ).

South Australia sometimes gets described as a "backwater" , but we love our state and our local footy. This is something people involved with the AFL and other states just don't get and will never get !!!

Good Luck to the Legs next week.

At only the most superficial of levels. You can call your dog a horse; it's still a dog.

That is correct, you can call the magpies the power, but we are still the magpies.

So is that why your cheer squad were chanting "power" at the game ?

16 out of the 79 PF losers won the flag the following year...after the strong finish to the year, nothing suggests that South couldn't do the same next year. Bad luck today South, and better luck for next season.

He was independently assessed and the verdict was unanimous that he isn't a footballer's arsehole.

Seriously what is it with you ?
You constantly bag and insult elite sportsmen.
The guy has played more SANFL and AFL games than you have.
Anyone who plays at these levels of football is not a footballers arsehole.

That's what Dedja said Mal. "he isn't a footballers arsehole"

To all those who got behind the Panthers efforts the last three weeks, I thank you for the support it was welcomed.

Thats it for me for 2014, I wont have to be bothered reading all the bullshit from the Alberton mob anymore this year.

Give 'em heaps Norwood and bury them.

There could be an argument for a comma after 'site', but otherwise perfect.

Just lost for words.

Mate... Us Norwood folk felt the same at the end of the 2010 grand final and look now.

You guys have come a bloody long way, you have some great players, an excellent coach and have hopefully gained a few supporters (new and returned ones.)

I know it doesn't help after being so close yet so far, but you guys earnt a hell of a lot of respect from across the whole of the SANFL.

I look forward to hopefully playing you in the grand final next year.

Losing a preliminary makes you even more hungry I believe for the following year.

You earnt my respect in 2014 as a genuine contender.

Well put.
The only difference was in 2011 you had an equal chance of going one step further.

I'm ignoring the obvious tautology as a blatant trolling attempt :D
