Didnt want to talk about his private life though and for good reason.

I stand corrected but the story I know is he got done for receiving stolen goods in about 1980. The word was whilst he was involved to an extent, he was left holding the bag and a lot of others got away scott free.
In the early 2000's he got done DUI on three different occasions narrowly avoiding jail time.

A Collingwood player falling afoul of the law? I don't believe it.

I thought Kossie was a little bland, compared to other episodes I've seen.

Liked Paul Couch tonight. Any stories about Blighty take my attention. One of footys most volatile characters but still love his values of the game and his views were @ times so simple, but so eye opening.

As a commentator I remember him one game losing his absolute shit in the box and just shut down the whole team. "No no no Quaters this team is being jumped in the middle of the game. When you're getting jumped each and every player on the ground needs to be directly responsible for their individual opposition player. Stuff all theories if 18 blokes beat their individual opponent you'll change the game again in your favour."

I love the nutty bastard.....

Did anyone watch the Rene Kink episode?
Certainly had an opinion and didn't hold back on Sheedy.

Called Sheeds "a weak man" a few times.
Kink played in 6 GF's for no wins.

Bartlett mentioned it to Sheedy the following day on SEN and in his usual respectful way, Sheed's refused to bag him. Said that Kink helped them enormously to win minor finals and alter a previous mindset of failure, but just simply wasn't fit enough for the 84 GF and was left out for that reason. He also mentioned again how tough it was to leave Kickett out of the 93' GF. Coaches are never gonna please everyone, but for the greater good it's hard to argue against him making the right calls at the time.

Ah OK, might have misconstrued from my end, but given fitness played a huge part in the Bombers GF win that year, it's hard to argue with Sheeds

I reckon he missed the entire 1984 season with a serious knee injury and never recovered fully. In 11 games in 1985 he averaged 12 disposals and 1 goal per game.

Correct, Kink didnt play a game in 84. Came to us in 83 and lost the GF. Wasnt fit enough to be selected in the 85 GF and never forgave Sheeds for not picking him.

You've read the transcript! Why watch people say what you've already read?

Because with Bomber you never know if its said in jest or for real. Often get a better take on the context by his mannerisms or voice. Probably the same as most people, always better to listen to them talk than read quotes in a paper

Would love for Mike to actually talk positive with Bomber. His career as a player at Essendon and coach at Geelong is worth discussing, worth celebrating.

Sick of asada, assistant coaching gigs, which has consumed the entire interview to date!

Bombers' demeanour changed completely in only one question, when he was asked about the rumours of his own drug taking...
