That's a meaningless comparison as previous SANFL Grand Finals didn't feature an AFL team.

Puhllleasseeeeee.
Yeah, 'cos I'm a bandwagonner, with no interest in the game prior to my club's historic run of grand finals.

Have been able to find out that last year's Grand Final had an average audience of 88 thousand. So this year's had a very significant increase on average audience. Still have not been able to find details of peak audience.

Ginever is fine. Get rid of the boundary rider guy he is not the most enthused presenter I have seen or heard .

Agreed. He's failed the audition. I reckon Tim's good though.

I agree too. Ginever is very good. The boundary rider is very ordinary. I would prefer Soderstrom to be boundary rider as he was on the ABC. I personally am underwhelmed by him as a commentator.

Agreed on all fronts. Not a fan at all of Soderstrom as a commentator. Running interviews is his stronger suit imho.

Absolutely agree. The boundary guy was out of his depth. Don't mind Timmy or Soders but please, less of the usually-AFL-related quiz questions. Just call the game, cheers.

Jeez give Soders a break. I think this is his first non boundary rider gig in footy so he is still developing his style.

All the commentary team were genuinely interested in the subject matter. Ginever is passionate about the SANFL and having met him personally on a couple of occasions I'm glad he is giving back to the competition that has given him his current profile in SA.

Tommy Wilson just needs to work on his delivery. He is still mid 20's I think and producing live television is no easy task.

Channel 7 announced by SANFL as preferred telecast partner

Postby bennymacca » Thu Sep 25, 2014 10:13 am

From the games I have seen they were all fine. Soders could increase his dynamic range a bit - not to Bruce or Brian Taylor levels but maybe get a bit more excited. But he seemed to be accurate enough.

And boundary riders are supposed to be a bit crap - it is the entry level position! Anybody remember Doug Hawkins or dipper or Michael Osborne? They all sucked!

Giniver can be slightly annoying, but his passion and knowledge can't be questioned. Bit like jars really.
