Hawthorn for me this week.

Either way though, it is going to be a cracker of a GF. I think footy will be the winner (if Sheeran and Jones pull off a miracle) this weekend!

Agreed and I don't see how or why.

purely based on the prelim results IMO but in saying that Sydney look in much better shape and are running games out better than the Hawks at present. Hawks backline just doesnt have the height to contend with Franklin, Tippett, Goodes and Reid all at the same time. Their best chance is to play McEvoy over Ceglar and tell him to take the centre bounce and head back to fill the hole in front of the mentioned big 4 (similar to how Rehn did it in 97/98) and let Hale and Roughy do any forward line ruck work.

We did in R18 without Lake and with Shoenmakers

Cyril got through training. Do you pick him?

Yes and start him on the field. You have to take the risk in a GF with a player like Cyril.

Yes, I would and agree with Suri, you play him. If he's the sub and someone goes down* early he's no good to you.

If things go to plan ( and you have to believe it will or why play? ) then he comes on after half time with a licence to thrill.

What do you think mate?
PAFC. Forever.

i'd pick him... The bbloke is a freak and potentially could win you a flag. Big gamble! You'd feel sorry for the poor fella who misses out for him

Hawks will win, with or without Cyril...Caro is saying he is. I wouldn't risk it personally, I'm still getting over an unfit Chambo being rushed back for the 2009 GF

Think these are the right calls, i would also put Sewell in and leave out either Spangher or Duryea.
Whilst its harsh I really dont think we need Spangher, on the rare occasion Sydney have all 4 talls up forward Hodge just needs to go to Goodes.
Simpkin also played very well on Malceski in r18 so im surprised he isnt in.

Im not underestimating us. Loving the underdog status.
Beat them comfortably in Rd 18, was Gibsons 1st game back, Lake didnt play and a couple others also, think for them they had Hannebery and Shaw missing

Was very happy to hear David King say Swans will win by 6 plus goals, dont think he has picked too many winners this finals series. He's a flog of the highest order. He reckoned one of Tippet of Franklin could kick 6, 7, 8 or even more goals. That hasnt happened since 89, dead set flog with NFI

You blokes are home if King is on the Swans. Start worrying wubbsy!

2014 AFL Grand Final - Hawthorn v Sydney

24 hours until we have to put up with more talk about that "bloods culture" that saw players walk out on the club, the league giving up on it and it playing in front of crowds worse than a mid winter Eagles v West crowd
