He was on ABC news talking about this before and what I find interesting is that I thought he sort of looked like a poodie as well. And then you called him one. Fascinating.

I doubt anything will come of this but it may put a dent into the Poodle's standing.

I'm sure Abbot will publicly support the little bastard but I'm also equally sure there are few in the party who wouldn't cry if he went down.

Regarding any decision on the replacement subs, I'm not concerned if the subs are sourced or built off-shore, as long as they are built to the required Australian Navy specs and are value for money. Of course, it would be great to have as much work as possible here in Adelaide (or indeed Australia), but that shouldn't be the overriding requirement.

The coalition have again erred in giving assurances about building them in Adelaide before the election, they should either have kept quiet about it or left it open to review if they won the election.

The same for Gonski funding, etc.

there is significant value in keeping skills in australia as a nation building project though. you cant fully rely on everything being sourced from overseas, especially for defence assets.

Would be good to have the work here in SA, we really need something at the moment as the SA economy is going to get worse before it gets better as it is. Although it shouldn't be the overriding requirement, but we need to look at the value for money but also the value of having workings working for the local and Australia's economy.

The problem I have is that they give assurances before the election, but of course the decision is different after the election. I know most politicians are like this, but its always just as annoying. Not something that's new. They should simply not of commented on it and reviewed it after the election, like they have done now.
