And, I'm pretty certain Bucks knows where not a prem threat next year, but still needs to talk the situation up to get the best deal. Given the situation, it's a bit hard for Bucks to "make him want to stay before it came to this".

I understand the issue with Beams' father. But you don't reckon there is a link with Buck's "cultural" clean out or a conflict with Bucks generally? I read somewhere Beams said he really misses Heath Shaw as they were great mates.

It just feels to me like it isn't all about his father. Bucks said he offered Beams a good deal with travelling allowed etc and Beams still is adamant he's out of there.

Beams to Brisbane for pick 4 and a lower pick or fringe player - Cutler/Crisp maybe
Dangerfield to Melbourne for pick 3 (compo for Frawley) and Toumpas? Melbourne keep pick 2 for the draft and get Petracca/Brayshaw
Frawley to Geelong as a UFA
Mitch Clark to Collingwood for something suitable (3rd round pick all things considered)

Melbourne look alright next season with Danger and Lamumbler handy ins, a gun draft pick and Trengove coming back from the broken foot - just sayin'...

you make it sound like danger is a done deal!

3 and toumpas doesnt seem enough, but jeez picks 2 and 3 would be bloody tempting.

still reckon danger will stay long term though

Spot on. Beams wants out of the post-Malthouse Collingwood era/culture.

well if you are loving your footy and you dont want to leave, but your dad gets crook, you might stay and work out some travel arrangements, but if you arent enjoying it then it makes the decision pretty easy. wouldnt say he is usuing his dad as a cover or anything, but it would certainly make his decision easier if he isnt enjoying his footy.

reckon brisbane are looking alright if he can get there

I wouldn't rule Sydney out for Ryder just yet...

Dangerfield wants to go to a contender if he leaves. That rules out Melbourne.

Would take a huge amount of convincing

I think he will end up at Port, just need them to offer a little bit more to get it done

If he isn't going to take a deal from ASADA he won't play football AFL again.

You seem to be in the know with all this kinda stuff kickinit, is it correct that if they appeal all the way to the CAS it could still be 2-3 years before players serve suspensions? Maybe some of the older players are willing to go down this path and hope they have retired by then.
Ryder is a decent player but not the star that everyone makes him out to be, pretty sure I heard he has only finished top 10 in Essendons B&F once or twice in his 8 years, hardly superstar stats especially in a side that has been mediocre over that period.
