Very noble of him to announce it on behalf of the Crows ... conflicted much?

How so? By looking at the club review and taking the appropriate action? The Suns have done the same thing, are they idiots too?

Yes it was swift and harsh, although not idiotic.

How has club been managed since about 2009? They think they run this town and they can't even run a bloody chook raffle!

CEO kept his job after being involved with the biggest salary cap since Carlton.

Jumper gate this year with resulting back flip.

Alleged stand over tactics to get what they wanted regarding reserve teams even then back flipping on the desired voting outcome.

How was it handled badly? Again, it was a quick and aggressive decision but i thought the club handled it well considering it was leaked to 5AA which sparked a media frenzy

I agree that the proof will be in the pudding and we need to see how the new coach (Walsh) goes and how the players respond, results mean everything in the footy world. Hopefully the 'Tiser and some fans dont jump the gun and hail us as Premiership favourites after a couple of wins - athough that might be asking a little too much.

Fair call there Heater, cant argue with those things.

New CEO, new board members, new coach, no doubt some new assistant coaches - hopefully a new and better era for the Crows.

Yeah cause systematically cheating year on year to the tune of $1m vs promising a trade to a club of his choice and a 30k sponsorship with Balfours not declared on the salary cap when if declared would fall inside the salary cap are similar

All since Carlton

In 2003, Brisbane were fined $260,000 for late lodgement of documents relating to the contract and financial details of 26 players, Essendon were fined $85,000 but did not have any points deducted after it was found that they had exceeded the salary cap by $106,000 during the 2002 season, and the Western Bulldogs were fined $30,000 for late lodgement of documents relating to the contract and financial details of three players after a crackdown in light of the Carlton scandal the year before.[17]
In 2004, Melbourne were fined $30,000 for incorrect lodgement of documents relating to the contract and financial details of three players.[18]
In 2005, St Kilda were fined $40,000 for a minor breach in regards to minor sponsor Xbox providing players with the game machines.[19] Brian Waldron, Matt Hanson and Cameron Vale, the club's CEO, CFO and Financial Officer at the time, were also involved at the NRL's Melbourne Storm when their salary cap scandal was brought to light.
In 2006, St Kilda were fined $40,000 for late lodgement of documents relating to the contract and financial details of four players.[20]
Richmond was fined $10,000 in 2007 for late lodgement of a document relating to the contract and financial details of a player.[21]
Two clubs were fined in 2008 for minor breaches: Adelaide ($20,000) and St Kilda ($10,000).[22]
In 2011, Richmond were fined $10,000 but did not have any points deducted after it was found that they had exceeded the salary cap by $13,000 during the 2010 season.[23]
In 2012, Collingwood were fined $20,000 for late lodgement of documents relating to the contract and financial details of two players.[24]

But they had staff suspended, a player suspended, fined and lost draft picks. Combine those penalties and it is bigger that any of those penalties.
