I appreciated the fact that the local bottle shop wouldn't blink at serving us when we were 16 or 17 in matric, even when we were wearing our school uniform.

You don't have to go to Schoolies to drink and/or root chicks, but I suppose it would be like shooting fish in a barrel...

When I was seventeen, it was a very good year
Smoked heaps of pot and drank heaps of beer
Would rock up to cricket without any sleep
Bowl all day from one end and then field in the deep

School days were awesome, The party's were fine
We'd listen to Patience, and Sweet child of mine
The nightclubs were pumping, no problems for me
Even at seventeen, I looked twenty three

An A Grade student, all through the week
But roll on the weekend, I turned the other cheek
A life less ordinary, no family or wife
No responsibility, just the time of my life

Pretty much the same.

I Remember me and a mate going straight from town of the train at parafield gardens to play against them in 38 degree heat

Had to borrow whites of our team mates, we lost the toss fielded all day and then had to bat for 5 overs at the end of the day.

Me and my mate survived the little session, handed our whites back, had a beer with the garden blokes in their changerooms and then back on a train back into the city for another night on the piss at 'church nightclub'
