Doesn't beams's old man live in Byron bay?
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

hopefully for their sake it doesnt backfire like it did for brisbane.

on another note, after the mass exodus last year, brisbane seem to be kicking a lot of goals this time around. if they can get beams and christensen that will be huge for them.

Agree re voss type recruiting.

We did, at the final hour, propose picks 5, 21 & 25.

I thought Beams wanted Qld to be with his old man, or has he borrowed a map of Oz from Tippett?

The Dad thing is only a fraction of the story. Connors and Swann have been cooking this deal for months.

A deal could still get done. Trade week doesn't finish until next week, Collingwood are being ridiculous in setting a deadline when there is still a week to go.

We need time to work with any picks we get, not ridiculous at all. And at least we can explore other options now.

He will end up at Port definately, just a matter of how. Keep hearing of a 5 club deal which would get Paddy to Port, Beams to the Lions and Essendon end up with pick 17 and Crisp from Brisbane.
