The AFL has given him until the end of next week to pay it or they are threatening to revoke his life membership and his media accreditation. He is refusing to pay on principle and has told the AFL they railroaded himself and Hird and that neither did anything wrong. He also has fired a shot or two at the board and said he was disgusted at how the club has treated Hird and how the club rolled over to the AFL and ASADA, he still maintains the club should of fought harder

its just interesting - he doesn't seem like the type of guy that would have left at 29 to chase free agency, so just not sure the reason to lock him in for so long? at a guess i would say his contract is significantly front loaded and he will be on basically nothing late to accommodate all of the young kids
